Spanglish NYC Astoria — Restaurant in New York

Where do I start with this amazing/cute spot in Astoria!! Honestly if I could give them 10 stars ⭐️ I would, but unfortunately it’s only 5 lol

As you walk into this amazing Restaurant, your greeted immediately by the wonderful staff and are welcomed to sit at a table or the bar, I choose the table. Their menu is full of variety, fun, and exciting items that you will definetly love! Also their drink, I made it on time for happy hour and let me tell you, their drinks are phenomenal! I had the regular classic margarita and my friend had the coconut margarita which was delicious as well…we ordered the chips and guacamole and that was 100%!! Then I ordered a Mexican burger 🍔 that truthfully from someone who loves his burgers and fries I’ll give this Burger a 100% as well, no lie, one of the best burgers I have had in all of NY!! The flavors were there and it is definetly an item I would go back to eat!! My friend had the steak nachos and the steak was tendered and seasoned very nicely as well. And the service also 100% , friendly server and bartender staff that would often come to the table to check up on us and with a huge smile 😃 which is an A+ for me!! I was to congratulate the owner or owners of this establishment because overall you guys have an amazing concept very well organized restaurant....

Don’t let the videos and/or photos fool you!!

This is a beautiful restaurant. Really trendy. With great social media presence. Sadly, and I’m just talking about my experience, I was a little disappointed. I ordered a “Mouth watering Birria pizza”, that I had previously seen on their Instagram posts. I also ordered some chicken tacos as well, for another family member. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. It was just average. Nothing special.

The pizza, barely had any meat on it, and the server also had forgotten to bring the birria sauce that “supposedly” comes with it. I had to ask them for it. Funny thing is that, they seem surprised that I was asking for it. Oh well. The chicken tacos were bland, no much flavor. Below average I’d say.

Another thing is The overpriced Guacamole. You get four chips and half an avocado. Not worth it.

Don’t let “Flashy and well produced videos and photos” fool you. You are not going to get what you see online. Not even close.

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The service was unacceptable. One of the staff members clearly didn’t want to be there. Full attitude, zero professionalism, and a look on her face like serving people was the biggest inconvenience in her life. I will post a photo of her below. If you hate the job that much, maybe it’s time to do something else. She didn’t explain the menu, didn’t check in, and acted like we were a problem just for sitting down. That type of energy completely ruined the vibe. The food definitely NOTTTT worth the price. Combine that with the disrespectful service and it’s a no from me. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are better spots where the staff actually treats customers...
