This is a gorgeous new restaurant that has opened on the UES and I highly recommend you go check it out.
Ambiance: The whole set up is gorgeous. When you walk in, there is a brightly lit hallway, feels futuristic. Once you’re inside they’ve created this vibe of indoor garden. They even have a nice fireplace. They have these really nice skylights above their back bar and back dining area so you can get natural light. The whole set up makes the place feel fancy and yet comfortable.
Food: We got the spicy cucumber and vegetable gyozas for appetizers. They cucumber sauce was so good, we ended up keeping it for the rest of our feel. The little crunch on top of the cucumber was also such a nice mix. It tasted like a fresh and well seasoned appetizer. The gyozas were also really good. They came out really hot and didn’t feel oily. The stuffing inside was a nice combination of different vegetables. As our main course we shared their vegetarian platter. It came with 9 different sushi bites and 8 pieces of the avocado cucumber roll. All the pieces were delicious and I liked how they created different flavor combinations.
Service: Service was great. They were quick to seat us and take our order when we were ready. Food came out at a nice pace. Water glasses were filled quickly.
Price: For NYC standards, I find this place to be very reasonably priced especially considering the portion sizes. We paid less than $50/person for our whole meal.

Read moreThe entry way made me feel like I was in a pub. I walked past it so many times, and I didn’t know there was a nice Japanese restaurant hidden behind it. I love how open the space was, and the skylight was just beautiful. We ordered chicken karaage, and fried calamari for appetizers. They were both very nice. The calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and only had the body parts and no tentacles. I personally like the texture of tentacles, so I was a little bit disappointed. The fried chicken was very nice, too. Light and crispy batter with flavorful and juicy chicken. I tasted a little pepper and citrusy flavor. It was very nice. We also got hot sake to share. It was warm and fragrant. Loved it! We then got a sushi platter, a salmon don, and a yellowtail and scallop maki. They were all very fresh and delicious. The salmon do came with salmon roes and avocado. The salmon roes were well seasoned. The saltiness and sweetness were very balanced. However, I could barely taste the scallops in the maki. Overall, it was a nice meal and a good experience. Would come back and try other...

She even brought us complimentary mochi for the birthday girl // She is the only reason I'm giving this spot 4 stars instead of 3. This place is incredibly overpriced. The fish wasn't bad, just basic. The classic maki rolls were a little flavorless imo, relying on spice rather than flavor. This has nothing to do with our wonderful server just the overall food preparation, The Rock Shrimp was 10/10 fresh and hot and then the calamari was stale and rubbery with no flavor. I know frozen calamari from the first bite 0/10. Beautiful Venue, over the top service, but I've had takeout sushi that made more of an...
