We went on a busy Saturday, but the line moved relatively quickly and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was all quite good and the location is fantastic.
Why the restaurant is receiving only one star is because of the careless attitude they took towards my girlfriend's shellfish allergy. We were very clear with the young lady taking the order that there was a shellfish allergy in the order and we double checked all of the items she ordered to make sure they were all safe. One of the members of our group ordered a shrimp taco, and we asked them to make sure that it was separate from the rest of the food. When we went to the window to pick the food up, the shrimp taco was sitting on top of the rest of the food we had ordered. When I attempted to ask them to clarify if care was taken to make sure her food was fine, they casually passed it off and said it was fine. My girlfriend, who is not all that sensitive, wound up having a reaction to the rest of the food.
I would recommend avoiding the restaurant if you have any sensitivities or allergies. We were extremely excited for the experience, as we love Danny Meyer's restaurants, but this was an extraordinary disappointment and brings up many concerns about their care and attitude towards allergies, which can be life and...
Read moreBy 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. I am sad to see that this waterfront businessâwhich directly benefits from the health of the river in front of itâis normalizing, promoting, and profiting off the sale of single use plastics like this bottled water.
Over 95% of the plastic that we produce and consume, does not actually get recycled, but ends up in landfills, incinerators, in our waterways, and in our bodies via micro plastics.
We canât keep justifying the use of this material unless itâs utterly necessary. And by now, there are so many better options you could pursue than plastic bottled water. There is aluminum canned water, glass bottled water, and you could even just offer real glasses/cups that folks could refill on site.
But it feels egregious and neglectful to add to the plastic pollution crisis within a park ON a waterfront.
Thanks for considering my concerns about how Williamsburg businesses can help us do better by this waterfront ecosystem we all love...
Read moreThey dont have alot of the foods they say on the menu, I suggest just take a picnic and you can sit on that area and see for yourself what they do have on the menu that day. The margarita was ok not to light lol they offer tajin rim or salt rim on the cup. Micheladas it's just a simple drink nothing with to many condiments on it as a traditional michelada would. The Paloma was ok aswell. The tacos we order the pollo de tinja and pork with pineapple tacos my favorite ware the pork because it had enough meat just cilantro they weren't spicy but they do offer bottle salsas. It's a nice spot to have something quick but not to quick because there's 1 line only. While you wait have someone look for a spot to sit.they are pricey for what they offer but it was a first time try for myself I wasn't that impress so I'll be packing a picnic next time since the menu wasn't the...
