My visit to Other Half Brewing at Domino Park in Brooklyn, New York, in August 2022 was nothing short of exceptional. If you're a craft beer enthusiast like me, this place is a must-visit.

I hardly write reviews but feel compelled to do so because of the very rude security at the front door.

I showed up to Other Half with my wife and before I even handed the bouncer my ID he was extremely hostile in his greeting and kept asking me “are you here for beer?!?”. I was dumbfounded and could only say..”yes, of course”. Why else would I be here???? After that interaction I walked inside and chalked it up to just an odd nyc encounter. Also to note: the bouncer was giving us the side eye well before I even walked up to him..was it because we’re both Asian? I have no reasoning for his strange attitude.

Shortly after I attempted to go out to get my whole party situated (was waiting on additional friends) and the bouncer was now inside, eyeing me and STOOD in my way on my attempt to grab my party and said “the beer is that way!” pointing at the bar. I was luckily able to dodge him and decided to have my party go elsewhere as I am here to relax, NOT to be in a hostile environment.

Other Half: Train your security to do better and just greet...

Wow! HUGE thank you to Matthew and the entire Other Half team. Two days ago I walked into Other Half in desperate need for a venue for our small get together / event for the following day. Matthew and his team immediately assured me that they'll make it work. Within a literal minute, we were all set. To top it off, we were able to get clarity on food that we could order from Roberta's next door which was great. The day of the event we received confirmation that we were all set. Yesterday we hosted our event and it was a hit! Everyone had a great time. The venue is gorgeous - so spacious. All of the bartenders were so friendly and their energy was amazing. The drinks were so good! I had the kombucha's on tap and they were so delicious. Overall, I couldn't recommend Other Half Brewing more. HUGE thank you + sincerely appreciate you all making our first event such a memorable experience. Rare to see this level of hospitality. And I also very much appreciated the collaboration with Roberta's. Thank you and see...
