My husband and I had our wedding at Aurora in May and we couldn't have found a better venue with an even more amazing staff to share our special day with.

From the minute we set foot in Aurora and saw the rustic, intimate, romantic space with greenery abounding, we knew it was our wedding venue.

Catalina, the events manager, was so kind and helpful from the get go. She answered every single question we had with no delay: from the very first email we sent when we were interested in seeing the space right up until our wedding day. It's so funny to think we've never actually met her in person because we communicated exclusively via email (hundreds of them!) Regardless of that fact, she was efficient and emanated warmth through her emails.

Fast forward to our walk-through and tasting! We strangely enough had never eaten at Aurora prior. We just fell in love with the space and the glowing food reviews were enough for us. The staff was so kind and helpful right away--we ate and drank SO much delicious food. In particular, Juan was so helpful in pointing out his recommendations. We wish we could've chosen everything for our wedding. There's honestly so much good food!! We also had the pleasure of meeting Guillermo at our walk-through. He was THE KINDEST and smiliest restaurant manager we've ever met. We naturally asked him if he'd be working our wedding day because who wouldn't want that good energy on their day? On the spot, he checked and said he wasn't.

Fast forward to our wedding day! Guillermo switched shifts to work our wedding day! We were SO touched he did this. And everything was so lovely and perfect thanks to him and the rest of the staff at Aurora. The food was absolutely delicious. Our dear guests, even the foodiest of foodies, said it was hands down the best wedding and wedding food they've ever had. The service was so seamless. The number of staff on the floor was small but they knew their stuff and everything was so smooth: from flipping the ceremony space to dinner to every little detail in between. The kitchen even helped assemble our donut tower which was our wedding cake. Towards the end of the night, we even got to boogie a bit with the awesome Guillermo. The staff at Aurora made us feel so welcome and they honestly, feel like family now.

The next day, when we picked up the rest of our decorations (yes, they let us leave it there over night so we didn't have to worry about it) the servers and bartenders were kind enough to ask about one of our dear friends who got a little too too too tipsy at our wedding 😅 As a couple who has had their share of restaurant jobs, we loved knowing that the staff at Aurora bonded with our guests and vice versa.

Thank you for a beautiful wedding, Aurora and now, being a part of our lives forever!

Aurora - Outstanding in every way

Williamsburg - is a favourite destination for many people living on the east side, especially when it comes to the summer months. …..And right there in the middle of the hustle and bustle is a particular gem of a restaurant: Aurora- An Italian restaurant with a worldly view. The ever-changing menu is incredibly thoughtful offering a great variety without creating a ‘chaos of choice’ - It has a broad spectrum and yet every choice has been thoughtfully put together: prepared freshly, simply and beautifully presented - and then the taste. Gorgeous - No matter how hungry you are your body just tells you to chew a little slower- flavours that don’t compete- just an elegant subtle combination in harmony.

Simply put - carefully considered ingredients layered, fused and delivered without fuss.

Whatever ever your preference don’t forget to add a pasta to it. Made on the premises and as good as any famous pasta restaurant of which there are a one or two in Williamsburg .

The treasure trove of interesting, considered choices delivers both a homely and yet singularly eclectic experience. In this ever up-and-coming area of New York with growing abundance - I can honestly say that this particular restaurant has to be one of the top five Italian restaurants in all of New York. ( If a professional critic has not visited this place then maybe if I may be so bold to say - they’re not as professional as they may seem to assume )

It is no wonder that as one looks around 70% of the diners live within maybe 1 to 3 miles of this place . They keep coming back and for me that is one of the tests of Any Restuarant- Those who return time and time again- despite the gamut of places to choose from!

I am fortunate to be an international man with the opportunity to try new things and see new places. This place, the cosy - informal Aurora, is laid- back and unpretentious. The true magic comes on the plate- sublime, honest and positively provocative.

The team seem to have been around for quite some time and you just feel the understanding and quietly efficient energy that they have: Clearly beautifully managed a team with empathy and understanding from Kitchen to the Dining room they simply make sure you know you are seen and are their guest .

I cannot recommend them highly enough And quite frankly, they are streets ahead of some who hold a Michelin star or aspire to those heights.
