The products these guys stock are all great quality. The store it's self is epic, it's really well merchandised and looks sick . Don't come here wanting to buy cheap crap, you won't get it, but what you will get is solid quality goods. This said, the customer service ability of the employees who were in the store on the day I walked in last week was nothing short of trash. My local 711 guy is more friendly and does a better job of asking how my day is going. It's largely a missed opportunity for these guys to capitalize on. I wanted to buy a shirt and a Patagonia R3 suit. After no help with what I needed, I made the decision to walk out and shop else where, even after trying these items on. Gauging from the feedback on the net and the experiences some customers have had, change isn't a consideration for these guys. It's just feedback for pilgrim, pick up your game boys. On that note I'd recommend a trip to the Apple Store for...
Read moreThis shop is cool and I’ve bought a board here in the past. Owner is super nice. But wow, I went in the other day and no one said hello to me. The shop was completely dead. Just my partner and I. Browsed through boards for 5 minutes then went to the front to look at the other boards. The 2 staff members were at the front desk and didn’t even acknowledge me. It got awkward and I decided to leave. This is the crazy part. On my way out, I said “thank you” in a nice voice as I always do and the lady at the front desk just looked at me without saying anything. SO PRETENTIOUS! And look, I never expect great customer service anywhere. But when you’re paying these markups, you want to feel good about it. It’s so surprising that they acted like this and it’s way different from the vibes at the old location. I love my pinder that I got from here but I’m definitely going to stop bragging about where I...
Read moreSome people are complaining about the customer service of this place but I'm only left thinking they're walking into Pilgrim with a stank ass energy and bad vibes. The staff are subtle and intelligent, kind and pleasant too. They're not going to ram products down your throat and kiss your ass like some of the other retailers do in the neighborhood. It's refreshing and a very peaceful shopping experience. This place has a human and personal vibe with incredible music playing at all times. Pilgrim has a pulse. Its not some gift wrapped manufactured box brand type of experience. The owner Chris is an extremely personal and hospitable person with a wild wealth of knowledge about all things culture, art, music and surfing. Make no mistakes if you walk into this store and walk out feeling like you didn't have a good experience it's because YOU suck and has nothing to do with...
