I have been a customer of Tacombi for a while. They are my go to for al pastor quesadillas and i like the fact that there's a location next to my home and next to my work. Tonight my husband and I decided we would go and have a sit down dinner with our baby. When we get there it was full of people eating but there we still tables open inside and some outside. When we asked the hostess for a table she looked down at our stroller and told us to hold on. She went to speak to someone else and came back to tell us we could have a seat outside. The outside seat she was referring to was in their heated booth on the street and it was so full of people that even without the stroller we wouldn't have been able to sit and eat at the table. As a mother, i felt they asked us to sit outside because we had a stroller and any restaurant that isnt willing to accommodate a family isnt one im interested in supporting. I would have happily put my stroller in a corner if asked but to suggest we try and squeeze into a tiny corner of an over crowded outdoor seating space is ridiculous. We will no longer be supporting this restaurant or any of its...
Read moreFirst and foremost, this place needs a makeover. What were they thinking when they decided to design its small tables and tiny stool chairs as a place to seat. Very uncomfortable seating and the restaurant (if you wanna call it that )has space to set nice dining chairs and tables. As a Latina, I was very disappointed in the food taste. Oh my, the tacos had absolutely no condiments. It was just the plain seasoning...a meat taco at a cost of $6???!!!. Other tacos didn't go for less than 5 dollars per taco. No lettuce, no cilantro, you can barely taste any onions. It came plane with pieces of lemon on the side. Really? For $6 dollar a taco, I'm expecting a mountain of meat, lettuce etc. nope just plain and you can even fold it in half so easily because it was not enough meat to fall off. I'm so upset that I came out of there with a $140 bill for tacos!!! Never again! I'm over restaurants trying ti overprice everything. I'm going back to...

The new Tacombi in Williamsburg brings something that the neighborhood seems to have very little of: that elusive combination of good food, good service, space and no attitude. The Avocado Tostada hits the spot as do the breakfast tacos but the great food is only part of the story. The space is large but not cavernous and there is plenty of room for, wait for it, families with kids. While not a parent myself I often marvel at how difficult it must be to go out with kids under the age of 10 in this crowded and kid unfriendly part of town... This isn't to say that the place is a zoo with screaming children running around like crazy, but plenty of high chairs, space for strollers and a generally positive disposition by the staff towards families is a breath of fresh air. Oh yeah, and the...
