We've been here several times now, and it's always been a great experience!
We've gone with friends and also with our own kids, and we've always had a great time.
They greet you when you walk in. The servers are super friendly and helpful and happy to answer any questions you have. We make the reservation online and never have to wait. They actually pay attention to the special requests part. One time we went with a friend who mentioned he had an allergy in the special requests section, and they made sure to mention it and check if everything was okay. We asked for two high chairs in our special request once, and when we got there, our table was already set up with both chairs. Little things like this make SUCH a difference, especially when it comes to dining out with kids.
I would say they're kid friendly as they're very friendly with our kids. They have high chairs available. They have kid's menus and some crayons and coloring sheets for kids. And they have plastic cups for water for kids.
We've enjoyed all the food we've eaten. The only thing I don't love is the homefries, but everything else is great. Their fries are AMAZING. The portions are really good. Too often you go out for breakfast or brunch and spend $25 for one plate and leave hungry. That's not the case here. The prices are reasonable for the area, and the portions are really solid.
This has become our top choice for when we want a casual place for breakfast or brunch for ourselves or to meet up with friends. Highly...
Read moreI normally don’t leave reviews, but feel the need to after our visit today resulted in physical illness.
My fiance ordered a fried chicken sandwich. When our food came, we were given a sandwich not resembling the described item. Hungry, he bit into the sandwich regardless and noticed it seemed old. The food was completely cold, the avocado was brown and crusted, and the lettuce and pickles were completely dried and wilted like it had been left out for several hours.
A couple minutes later, our server returned with the correct item and realized the mistake. Rather than replacing the item immediately, the staff retreated to the back of the restaurant with the plate, holding a hushed conversation. They eventually approached us and asked if we would like to have the correct item instead. When they took the old plate, the server remarked that the food we had been served needed to “be thrown out anyway.” This led us to believe we had been given a plate of food that had been sitting unattended for some time, leaving us unsettled.
At the end of our meal, the server comped our drinks, which was appreciated. However, the lack of transparency and urgency to correct the error made us extremely uncomfortable. Within a couple of hours, my fiance had food poisoning. Food safety is not negotiable dining out and must be taken seriously. We will not be returning...
Read moreWas craving a classic chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese on this mild autumn evening. Poked around the neighborhood and no one really had what I was looking for.
However, Westville had the soup on their menu, but no grilled cheese. Was tired of searching around so decided to settle with it.
Ordered the soup and a side of sweet potato fries, and out of curiosity I asked the server if they ever did grilled cheese sandwiches even though it wasn’t on the menu.
The server said they could definitely do a grilled cheese. The soup, the grilled cheese (made on a Portuguese muffin with their mac and cheese blend), and sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo came out and I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish it all. But I did and it was all perfect in every bite!
Got the pumpkin pie with ice cream to go and it was equally as good (way better than that “country bakery” up the...
