I've been here at least 4 times in the past month. I love the ambiance and seating area. It's casual but colorful. They play Mexican music and have very friendly staff. I have only tried their tacos (I LOVE tacos) and today, their rice and beans. Here's my review: ■ Fish tacos- my favorite (great flavor combination) ■Steak tacos- very good. Meat was tender and toppings were delicious. ■Mushroom tacos- were okay. Made with portobello mushrooms. I found the mushrooms to be a little soggy and lacking flavor. The toppings were okay as well. ■Rice -sold as a side. Was pretty good. ■Beans- sold as a side. Made with pinto beans. I did think the rice and beans would have more flavor. I probably would not buy them again as a side. Overall, I enjoy this place and it's location. The prices are very NYC. For the quality and portion, it's worth the money. I look forward to trying more menu items. I did suggest to the staff that they should add shrimp and impossible meat to their menu options.

First, I compliment the owner of this establishment for thinking of uniqueness to resemble a Mexican Fonda restaurant, just like in Mexico, and keeping the menu as simple as possible. This is a plus for attracting customers and making them feel like they have an authentic Mexican experience. Their bar is nicely decorated but inactive, which should be corrected to make this a complete experience. Now to the food. So, I tried everything on the menu, and aside from the fish tacos and burritos, which have no business being in the menu, I love this place for the authentic flavor and presentation of its food. The size of the tacos, filling, and ingredients make me feel as if I was dining in small towns in Mexico. Chipotle and the other local restaurants do not match the flavor of these tacos. However, the price of each taco is overpriced, and they need more table service to get five stars. I am a big critic of Mexican food because I grew up eating it and have great expectations.

OMG! I finished my food but I don't wanna go home!!! Excelentes rolas! Regional mexicano, quebraditas, then, Mana, and Miguel Mateos, and I will never end by listing every single song, my golden years back home (Mexico City). I already knew this place because my husband did take out for family several times, he works close by, birria tacos and consome, and pretty recently, he got volcanes for us. I came next block to get my new pair of glasses made, I texted my husband saying "I will go to the birria place for dinner". Long story short, I was still trying to make up my mind, and he showed up to "guide me with the menu". He introduced me to Eugenio, and I happily said "this is lovely, congrats!" Anyway, pictures speak by themselves! And my husband, just arrived (done from work) and got me my third beer. I did Pacifico, Tecate, and Modelo! Kudos to you, Eugenio! You have great food, great decor, great atmosphere, and...
