I cannot say enough good things about my experience @ Ivy Rehab. Darima Bud and her crew were EXCEPTIONAL!
6 weeks prior to my honeymoon, I had meniscus surgery on my right knee. Needless to say, a bit of an emotional roller coaster leading up to the deadline, but with some hard work all around, Darima and her team got me to 100% in time to fully enjoy our trip!
Don't waste your time elsewhere - I've tried other 'chains' (other knee years ago, and one quick visit this time around) and the personal attention and compassion @ Ivy is unparalleled.
The vibe is upbeat, even when you're feeling a little overwhelmed. Great banter and friendly staff to lighten the mood - but the team is also incredibly invested in what they do!
They manage their multiple patients extremely well, taking time to TRULY listen to you. Every session started with a genuine "how do you feel / how are things going," which never felt rushed, and the check-ins during the exercises are frequent, if not a constant watching eye. Not the case everywhere, as you're commonly left alone, to feel as if you're just a number in their system.
At no point did I ever feel neglected, or as if the therapists were just going through the motions. They know their stuff, constantly discussing the latest - while learning from, and training the next generation. Although they followed protocol, they were willing to push a little harder, and modify when appropriate to help me reach my goal!
Not only did I heal quickly, but I learned a LOT. Never was it a "just do this" scenario, but they were willing to discuss the why, which I found to be incredibly helpful and assuring. I appreciate them sharing their expertise along the journey, and since day one I felt confident in their skills. The passion they had for helping others was evident from the moment I walked in the door - and remained for every other patient in that room.
I feel very fortunate to have found them, and owe it to my friend, another patient of theirs, for her glowing reviews and putting me in touch! Now it's my turn to pass that along.
You can stop your search, these guys are the real deal! Thank you so much Darima and Crew!
PS: I'm a freelancer, and when not physically able to be @ work the income stops. The team was sensitive to this, and very accommodating with their scheduling. They got me back to work very quickly, but helped me ease...
Read moreGreetings! My name is Anthony Williams and I was a patient at your facility being treated for Bell's Palsy. It was such a great experience because the staff and the community that were there, gave me a sense of confidence without me being judged because of my appearance. My face was contorted, it made me very aware of my appearance. The emotional impact of my facial paralysis triggered a certain sadness in me, at the very beginning of my diagnosis. However, with the treatment that I was administered from Ivy Rehabilitation was enormous and professional, it made me feel that I was part of the {GANG}. Darima Bud, what a great Physical Therapist! She made me feels so welcome to your facility. Also, Darima took pride in her work ethics, and was graceful and compassionate towards me and the other patients that were there at the clinic. I myself, am a cancer survivor, and having cancer did not bother bother me as much as Bell's Palsy did. I believe because It was visual, while the cancer was not. Once again, Darima Bud was excellent with her Physical Therapy skills. She always came through with different PT exercises and innovative ones at that. These exercises helped me towards my healing process. I would recommend Darima to the world if I could. She was such a blessing throughout my journey towards recovery. I Thank You Immensely for Darima! Reanna Adams, What a warm pleasant individual! She exudes hospitality as soon as you walk int your facility. I used to like making her laugh at different things concerning me. She would schedule my appointments with accuracy and would follow up with a phone if there was a conflict in scheduling. I believe Reanna Adams is a great access to your company because she is the first person of contact at Ivy Rehab. It is great to have a person with such elegance. The warmness of Sade Grier, cool/kool, calm, and collective was just awesome. The entire staff was professional and fun to be around. It was a welcoming experience.
My whole impression of Ivy Rehabilitation was just...
Read moreIf you want PT nerds, this Court Street location is the place (that's a compliment)! When I talk with friends about PT, they sometimes say PT "doesn't help". This is NOT that place! Chris, Andy, Darima, and Mirlanda (and various interns) are really, really into PT and recovery. I have been a patient at this location for almost 8 months for a completely torn achilles tendon + surgery. I probably could have stopped earlier once my insurance said I was "done," but I have received so many benefits by going that I'm continuing to go about once a month to keep rehabbing my achilles/calf and improving in general. I've learned about how my body works to support myself because of rehab from this injury and I have to say that I'm stronger for it. I also did not lose a lot of muscle from surgery recovery b/c of what they put me through. Chris is my primary therapist and he's funny and kind and loves his dog. He'll push you if you want but also knows not to let you go off. And Mirlanda is the best, super chill and helpful with form and stepping in as needed
