The Jeffrey is a UNICORN in this neighborhood and a MUST!
First off, the beer list is extensive and updated for the AM and PM, with both local and state beers on tap from all over! THE STAFF are so friendly and have great recommendations. There are bars on either side, one for primarily beers, and the other is a coffee and cocktail bar. THE COCKTAILS. You must ask their awesome bartender, "The Alchemist," for a cocktail – try asking for somethin sweet/sour/spicy or for a particular spirit, and he'll give you a recommendation.
THE SNACKS and sandwiches are all tasty and amazing. My recommendations include the truffle popcorn, the Sriracha peas, the rosemary potato chips, the chips and guacamole, the pretzels from Sigmund's, and the teriyaki beef jerky. Wish they had something sweet for dessert, though.
Definitely come here for brunch and sit on the outdoor patio and get one of their tasty brunch cocktails, or stop by the coffee bar in the morning for a croissant. They also offer coffee cocktails, which are a great experience.
The people here are really great, and I've had some of the best nights here meeting the staff and people in the neighborhood from all walks of life.
Follow them on Twitter, too – I've won a T-shirt and beer from a...
Read moreStopped in here for a whiskey and had the worst experience. I walked in and sat down and was ignored by the bartender. A couple of minutes later, another couple walked in and sat down next to me at the bar and were greeted warmly by the bartender who poured them some water and asked them what they were drinking. They ordered and he started making their drinks. I stared at him until he finally acknowledged me and dropped a menu in front of me. Instead of asking me what I'd like, he then proceeded to make drinks for the couple who walked in after me and I waited another few minutes for that to happen. Finally he gets around to me and asks me what I'd like. I order, he pours me a very precisely measured shot of whiskey into a glass and places it in front of me and walks away. I had to get his attention again to ask for some water. Needless to say, I drank my whiskey in one tiny gulp and paid and left. I don't know what was up with this guy but it definitely wasn't anything I did, as we hardly interacted at all other than my drink order. I can say I've never felt less welcome at a bar and will definitely not...
Read moreUPDATE: I came back a couple more times, but on my last visit I was told I had to sit outside because I had a dog. That's confusing, since I’d previously been allowed inside with no issue. It was a cold day, so both the food and experience weren't enjoyable, and the inconsistent rules make me hesitant to come back. Because of this, I'm downgrading from five to three stars.

This bar is an absolute gem, a new favorite I'll be recommending to everyone! My first drink was fantastic, and when I asked for something different but similar, the staff’s recommendation was spot-on.
It’s been tough finding a truly dog-friendly indoor space (not just for service dogs), but this place went above and beyond. I spent three hours here with my puppy, letting him adjust to new sounds and sights, and everyone—staff and customers alike—was so welcoming. No one got upset when he got a little rowdy, which was such a relief.
I only wish I had found this place sooner! With the private patio in the back, I can definitely see myself hanging out here year-round. Can’t wait...
