The King of Taco — Restaurant in New York

I ordered based on the reviews. Nothing impressive. I ordered chorizo tostadas which tasted like any other chorizo tostadas. So they were good, thanks to the flavor of the chorizo. Al pastor tacos could've used more flavor. Out of 4 only had 1. Caritas nachos, were LOADED. To the point where I could see the nachos. I mean thank you for portion, but needs flavor. They didn't provide any type of eating utensils. Thankfully I found a spoon in my work bag. Again unimpressive. To drink, I ordered tamarind water and felt that couldn't go wrong. I've never had a tamarind water that tasted this way. W.e I got didn't taste like tamarind at all. It was very fermented. No straw was provided for me. I had to put the top on my large soup container to shake it. To then be splashed by the juice because of the fermentation.. all nearly $50, that I wish I had not wasted. Extremely let down. This is a review more based on on my second time visiting and actually eating in; I order some tacos and well the waitress couldn’t stop speaking with her fellow waitress on my choice of meat for the tacos , this wasn’t much of an annoyance until the second waitress straight up walked by our table and made a repulsive face looking at my tacos. Just to tell you that I was automatically disgusted with my own food that this became uncomfortable. Don’t really know if the manager or owner reads this review but the waitress worked Wednesday night /light skinned with glasses and long black hair. This is the second time that I come to this restaurant and the same thing occurs. Yes, their food is very good. But both times I have come the waitresses forgot to put the order in to the kitchen and have us sitting waiting 1 hour or more for the food. And our orders aren’t foods that take more than an hour to cook. They are simple cheese quesadillas and tacos. In the end when we are frustrated and ask for the checks, the food just so happens to already be charged, they notice their error, and go on to lie that “the food is almost ready”. How would you know the food is ready if all I’ve asked you for is the receipt and you haven’t gone back and checked if it was ready or not? Really bad customer service. I really won’t...
