Satori Burgers — Restaurant in New York

On both of my visits I did not enjoy the burgers I ordered. The first visit I went with their recommendation (which happened to also be their most expensive), it did not taste good. On the second visit I got a bacon cheeseburger (figuring it couldn’t be messed up), the bacon was a large clump of pork, the lettuce was a bunch of thick pieces, and the beef had virtually no seasoning. Even though there were several things that were undesirable, I only complained about the bacon to the wait person (who never asked how my food was - I had to get their attention), and they argued that that balled up chunk of pork is bacon. Next the chef came to explain the same thing. I prefer bacon in strips, not in a bunched up ball. So then they offered to make the bacon again. I waited and waited, then I decided to start eating my food while it was still warm and I was over halfway finished when the replacement bacon arrived. The replacement was much better but still not ideal. I have had better at chain restaurants such as Red Robin and Hard Rock Cafe, and significantly better at specialty joints like Red Mill Burger, and uneedaburger which all have similar pricing to this place. Finally, this restaurant is not inexpensive and yet, they are included when you filter for inexpensive places. I don’t believe I’ll be returning, as there are so many delicious places in the area and I just don’t want to risk another...

The place itself is really nice. The location is ok but the decor it's pretty nice and the music also really good. Nice for meeting with friends and having a good time. The food is good but I wouldn't say it's all that. The burgers are decent and at least they are very filling. Maybe I need to try other things on the menu besides the burgers. The empanadas were good and the coconut lemonade also good. The passion fruit rice pudding desert I wasn't crazy about. As far as the service goes I think they need to start giving suggestions. The waiter we had did not have anything to recommend when I asked her which burger was their most requested or the one she thought maybe would be better to try first. She had nothing to say. I thought that wasn't really helpful and kind of bad customer service. All restaurants have their waiters trained to recommend. Overall the experience was good and I will come back to try...

Great food, love the menu, but this place takes SOOOO LONG to make the food and even longer to deliver. This is the second time that we have had to cancel after waiting almost two hours for food that never showed up. It's a hit or miss, because we've been to the Restuarant to eat hoping that it would be faster, but even then it took way to Long to get our food. It's a shame because their menu is really creative and their Restuarant is so nice you would think it belongs in Williamsburg or astoria, but you never know if you're going to get your food when you order from this place.

Edit: the last time we place an order, we called to find out if the food had left the Restuarant yet and the women who answered the phone literally hung up on us mid conversation... If those buñuelos weren't so good, we would have stopped ordering from here a long time ago. This place has a...
