We enjoyed our meal! The lamb torta reminded me of a perfect Italian beef sandwich. Would 10/10 recommend.
The Cucumber-mint lemonade was sour and almost reminded me of a limeade, but was delicious.
The lamb empanada with the mint dipping sauce was perfect, the meat was juicy and tender.
The potatoes were well seasoned and delicious. We essentially ate them as fries - but they have no Ketchup. They gave us a sumac dip instead, which was amazing and I highly recommend.
The spicy chicken sandwich was a bit dry for my taste but the chicken was real, the bun was great, and after adding the sumac dip it was good!
We finished up with the lemon cookie, which is a nice faint lemon flavor that pairs well with the lemonade.
The service was fantastic and fast and the store itself was well-kept and incredibly clean. No publicly available bathrooms though, and the front door was open (the kitchen would have made it pretty hot inside very quickly), so it was pretty cold inside, I had to wear my coat throughout the meal.
Overall, I recommend, especially for someone wanting a quick, delicious, and unique bite....
Read moreWe had our engagment party with the Migrant Kitchen at the Ballfields Cafe in Central Park. It could not have been more perfect! Erica from MK helped us plan the whole thing and was there the day of the event to make sure everything went over without a hitch! There was more than enough food, and they were willing to modify and label dishes based on our party’s dietary restrictions, which was super nice. Day of the event they handled all the logistics around the food and drinks and set up and clean up, and were super helpful with anything we needed! The location is also beautiful in the middle of Central Park but with privacy and shade as well. Lastly, the total cost was SIGNIFICANTLY below quotes we got from other restaurants, with even more food and on-sight assistance provided for the price. Thank you Erica and thank you Migrant Kitchen for making our engagement party so perfect! Could not recommend more for birthday party’s/engagement parties/...
Read moreI came to this place happy, because I was so starving and wanted some empanadas. I order 3 spinach, mushrooms and cheese empanadas, 3 lamb empanadas and a pork wrap with no jalapeño. The mushrooms empanadas were not even cooked enough! The dough still was raw, and the taste was disgusting! Terrible bad! After 2 little bites, we didn't eat it! When I looked to the other empanadas, to see if looked uncooked like the others, for my surprise, there is no lamb empanadas in my bag! Instead it, they gave me a bowl with pork and some rice and beans. And the wrap was soooo spicy! All the jalapeño I asked to not add, I think they add double! The music was sooooo loud, I think they couldn't even understand what I was ordering. At the end, I spent $67 in a disgusting food! I'm latin, grow up in the kitchen with my grandma, this food is far from...
