This review goes directly to Ian Schrager et. al. This goes directly to the people whose pockets this review will affect. They must be aware of the absolute lack of hospitality, horrendous customer service and complete disregard for clients who are well known in places like Manhatta, Saga, Carbone and the RH Guesthouse hotel for spending thousands of dollars and taking care of staff.
I am so appalled at how poorly we were treated having made a $3k minimum reservation on August 17th after previously spending $4,211.79 on July 6th, proof provided.
It was August 17th. I had exchanged information with Gabirel Liberty who claimed to be a manager. I texted him about the large reservation and he confirmed that he got my message. Closer to my reservation time I texted again to have two bottles of Dom Rose for us ready before our arrival. It was my partner’s 55th birthday and he had clients with him along with business partners. I was waiting for Gabriel’s confirmation and was met with silence. We decided to still go assuming that everything would be ok. I could have not been more wrong.
Upon arrival, we encountered a line. I asked the security guard if he could call someone since I had made a reservation with a $3k minimum. The security guard looked at me with destain and said, “I have no idea of any of this get in line.” Very perplexed and confused I explained again “I’m sorry, there must be a confusion, we have a reservation for 15 people and we have clients with us, can you call someone so we can be seated?”. The security guard looked up annoyed and again said “I have no idea who that is, I have no way of calling anyone get in the back of the line.” At this point I was almost questioning if this was even happening. I was very disgusted at being treated this way as if I were trying to sneak into a club. One of my guests noticed the disrespect and asked for a manager. The security guard arrogantly looked at me and my guest and said, “How do you not know I haven’t contacted anyone?”. I could not believe that this was a game this man was playing, the entire interaction was bizarre and disturbing since we had just spent $17K at Manhatta and spent the weekend at the RH guest house and was treated with unmatched care and respect.
After going back and forth with the security guard we were about to leave and Corbin came down to escort us to our table. Corbin attempted to calm to situation to the best of his ability, however he too tried shutting up my guest. Which I thought should have been managed with more discernment for the patron, since my guests had stayed at the hotel on July 6th previously.
Once we got upstairs another employee looked at my guest and said, “You can say good evening, sir”. That was the last straw for us. We were already there and needed to end our night, but we knew we wouldn’t be back.
We bought two bottles of Dom Rose which was served in PLASTIC CHAMPAGNE ‘glasses,’ an absolute atrocity, we also got a couple of cocktails and clase Azul. We spent a total of $5,190.91 that night. Mackenzie was our server and was EXCELLENT along with the rest of the waiting staff. However, we will not return, we will make sure all our close circle and clients etc., do not go to The Roof. I want other high paying clients to know, this is not the place to take your clients or business partners for a NYC luxury nightlife experience. This is a TIK TOK popular spot that caters to the influencers who will only drive a crowd that will spend enough to just do a cute post and go on to the next spot.
I recommend others looking for a true luxury experience to head over to the RH Guesthouse rooftop or even the Monarch Rooftop in midtown. I am hopeful that this review will help The Roof teach their staff how to show appreciation for those patrons who spend a lot and who will continuously come back because of how well they are treated. Ian Schrager above all should know how fleeting this...
Read moreI was very excited to try this place out with my wife , as u go in you have to go upstairs and to the left will be the rest rooms and the elevators . Unknown to me and my wife we took the wrong elevator to the wrong floor as we were trying to reach the event at the rooftop that we had invitations for , instead we made it 1 floor below the event because the elevator tops out at that floor so we got off and headed to the balcony , un known to us that floor is off limits to guest . My wife enjoyed the view and decided to take pictures of the views etc . As we are heading out to try to reach the event a BAR TENDER . comes from some stairs on the right and tells us we cant be there rudely with an attitude . He looked at us in disgust as if we were beneath his level ? I explained to him where we were going and what happened and he said i needed to go back down to the lobby and security will unlock the other elevator that will leave me at the event . To then i responded “ so you are not security ? What are you doing kicking us out ? Did security send you ? “ and he goes “ no , not security and no one sent me . I just knew you didn’t belong here and you must leave lets go “ I calmly agreed and started to exit and my wife and when we look behind us this guy is literally extorting us out to the elevator . When i tell security down stairs what happened they said he has no right to do that or treat u like that , it was a mistake happens a lot here . I share this because that man ruined my evening and made me and my wife feel uncomfortable and un welcomed . I hope management gets...

It is one of the most breathtaking rooftops I have been to in the city. Because of this, it is the perfect place to take pictures for my buddies Hinge profiles. Hahahahahaha. See attached pictures, we got some great shots. All my homies cute though so it's easy.
My only complaint about this is that in order to go outside, you need to buy a drink and there are only 2 bartenders so it takes FOREVER. It literally took us 20 minutes to get 3 beers. Crazy.
$12 for a beer which is to be expected in a place like this.
Once you step into the deck area, the view is immaculate. Skyline everywhere you look.
We sat up here from the late afternoon until dusk, just taking in the views and taking pics ahahahahaha.
You could take in the views for an eternity.
The crowd here is very boujee and pretentious (I write as I have a prada bag on my shoulder, haha) so if that's not your type of people maybe choose another spot.
As we were getting set to leave, this Swedish lady walks up to the 3 of us (3 on 1) and starts hitting on my buddy, it was so beast. The way she did it though was the most finesse things I've ever seen, and I for one was inspired. I make too many excuses.
All in all, a great spot to watch a sunset and...
