I wouldn't recommend this restaurant/bar because their customer service is very bad in terms of paying attention to customers from the entrance down to the end of their visit. I came here on a Saturday afternoon about 2PM-3PM time frame. I wasn't seated by anyone because the host was too busy talking to other bartenders and workers. I looked past it because I get it if there's not many customers and you have some free time you may veer off and talk a bit. But to not pay attention to the customer at all that they end up seating themselves anywhere is a bit ridiculous. We got a menu and it took our waitress more than 15 minutes to acknowledge us and get us started. We didn't care much for it so we still ordered. A beer and a cocktail it was very good but also took longer than expected. In the 2 hours I was there I was only able to get 2 drinks total, and when I ordered food it was the only thing that came faster than 10 minutes. I was a bit surprised because I ordered an appetizer and food that I thought would take a relatively longer amount of time. The appetizer and food came fast because it was undercooked and cold in the middle. I only was attended twice by the waitress, when we asked her for another round of drinks we didn't ever get it. I'm not even sure why because her and about 3 other employees had time to gather around the bar to talk. I couldn't believe there were only about 10 sets of customers and majority of the waiters and waitresses were behind the bar gossiping and just talking meanwhile there was only 1-2 customers at the bar by themselves. I don't think the restaurant it's self is bad overall, I just think they just have very bad employees that make them look bad. There is no reason why people are just walking in and seating themselves if there's a host. What is she getting paid for? In addition why are there under 10 sets of customers and all the employees are just talking and gossiping that not only am I frustrated but other customers are too. Also whoever is there on Saturdays cooking one of them is off because they're either rushing or not paying attention. This is a business involving food it's understandable that not everyone will be satisfied by taste, or flavor. But simply making something that would've tasted good, bad by undercooking it where it taste still cold is unacceptable. Let me add the owner is very rude in his responses when I posted this review to yelp. I'll post the pictures to prove it.

Went to brunch here with my girlfriends and we had the best time. We were looking for a "quiet" place which is kind of hard here in Astoria. They have outdoor seating and it was just right. We sat there for hours. We had appetizers, drinks and entrees with no room unfortunately left for dessert. But we will definitely be going back.

They had a few things on the menu that I wanted to try, so instead of wondering what if, I placed a large delivery order for all of the items I wanted. Order cost me $106 w taxes/fees and tip. Order consisted of: - Chicken Pot Pie ($~27) - THIS CAN BE SKIPPED ENTIRELY. Their rendition of the pot pie Included the puff pastry topper on the side, wrapped in foil. The innards of the pot pie were packaged well in a plastic container. The filling wasn't as great as it could be and was further amplified by the chicken pieces, which were not sauteed, but char-grilled. This unfortunately gave it and the creamy broth a burnt taste that wasn't appropriate for this particular dish. Extremely overpriced for what it was, which was essentially soup and a puff pastry side. - Loaded Poppers - These were good. You get 4 pieces for ~$15. They were fluffy, cheesy and had bacon inside. The exterior is crisped lightly and when reheated in my air fryer, 're-crisped' nicely. -Beef & Broccoli (~26) - This was probably the worst dish, texturally and when it came to actual taste. Both the rice and beef were gummy and the sauce on the beef had a bitter bite to it that was unpleasant. We took a few bites to give it a chance, but ultimately tossed it. This was also a wildly overpriced dish given it's taste and lack of complexity. -Fish & Chips - The fish was generously portioned and the batter had good flavor, but it would have been nice if they also seasoned the cod. You could tell by tasting the batter and cod separately that one had been better spiced and seasoned than the other. The fries arrived soggy between the condensation that’s occurred enroute to being delivered AND the oil soak-through caused by the fried fish sitting on top. Soggy fries, I can try to revive, although not the best, but I can do nothing with oil laden fries, so that took away from the Fish AND Chips experience, but still not the worst of the dishes involved. I would just ask them to pack separately next time. I attempted to place another order today (5/15) to try some new items and it appears that the restaurant is no longer delivering food through any of their 3rd party delivery apps. The only thing that appears on the menu are desserts and mocktails. I called to inquire and the staff said they only deliver on Grubhub now. They clearly too are unaware of this update because in addition to DoorDash, Grubhub also does not deliver food items.

To start the experience entering is great. I came to trestle around Easter with a party of 9 and we were seated right away. The Waitresses greet you with warm welcome and a bright smile. What caught my eye was the design, overall the look was so appealing to me I wanted to stay longer and just chat with my family and friends. There was this one guy and to be honest he deserves a raise, he was so friendly, very cool, professional and even when the drinks came a bit later than expected. He cracked a joke or made the time we waited feel like it was worth it. I don't remember his name but he looks like a cool surfer dude and I remember he mentioned he had a son. Now onto the best part. The food, I had gotten the steak and eggs and it's was okay. I felt like the steak could have been seasoned with something more, it was missing something. Though the seasoning was a bit off the steak was a good steak. I order medium but they gave me medium-well and I still ate it because it was really really good juicy and texture wise! I tried some of my families food that they had like the huevos rancheros, and a English muffin sandwich and they were amazing the flavors were on the point and it kinda made me wish I choose something else but I still enjoyed my food. Now onto there bottomless brunch drinks, there's only 2 reasons I'm giving this 4 and not 5 stars. The reason being we paid 20 dollars for bottomless brunch but we all had a similar feeling that by our 3rd or 4th drink it's tasted watered down as if there wasn't any liquor at all. My family and I were spending a birthday together and we love to drink when we can. I felt like that kinda ruined the mood a bit but we ended up just going to a brewery right after instead. Another reason was the steak, I'm a big steak person and even though the texture and juicy was on the spot, I need the 3rd factor which is taste. It tasted like my grandmother made liver with no seasoning and I hate liver. I would have given 5 stars but the steak and the drinks are big things for me. Overall the experience was amazing, the service AMAZING, shout out to cool surfer dude! I would definitely reccomend for a small get together or even just as a date, or just to stop by alone and have a good brunch. 100% would come here again. Thanks The Trestle for a...
