Turkiss grill — Restaurant in New York

I wanted to try this place, simply for the name Turkiss, lol. However, when my food arrived the bag was labeled Sahara? I ordered take-out on Uber. There was no long delivery time like some other viewers posted, just the average 40 - 60 minutes. It was chicken soup, turkish bread, chicken kebab sandwich, and falafel appetizer. The chicken soup was good, but rather brothy, and not worth the price. The falafel was rather burnt, or much darker than I prefer. The accompanying hummus was good and the salad tasteful. The Turkish bread was fresh, even warm. The chicken kebab sandwich was flavorful, but the white sauce and hot sauce cup was only half-full. Overall, nothing bad to say about the food, but nothing to rave about either. So, will I order again, probably not.... I'm looking for something beyond...

Very friendly service. Food was five stars and the price/value ratio in Brooklyn, and during COVID, is amazing. They are so friendly and the service is great! Shepard's salad: tasty, fresh, very large. Lots of dressing and the feta was extra delicious and super tangy. Hummus: best hummus we’ve had yet. Chicken shish kebab: My son who only orders chicken for takeout thought it was great. Most importantly the portion was so large that we had left overs which doesn’t usually happen when we order take out. Loved our visit - something to eat for the vegetarian foodie and the meat eaters. Order from here fairly often. The lamb platter is an amazing sized portion and even comes with an extra side usually go with humus which is delicious. The Turkish bread is warm & delicious. The only reason why I give it 4/5 is because they don’t give a lot of white sauce just a half in the little cup. I always request for extra and never get it. I don’t even mind paying extra for it but it’s not on the seamless menu. If you call them they will give you extra sauces with a charge even though it should be free in my opinion.
