THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 15 YEARS OF LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY.

I have eaten at 100s of restaurants of all calibers but have absolutely never had a terrible and rude experience that I had tonight.

First off, came off the street because I saw they had a particular menu item advertised in the window. When I sat down to order that item, I was told they actually don't offer it for dinner only lunch. Not a big deal at all. These things happen.

On the fly, the waitress asks what else I wanted. Standing there waiting, my eyes went to the burger which has multiple toppings listed next to it. I said "sure I will take that but dont want all those toppings on it. If they come with the burger, please put them in the side" the waitress then asked if I wanted cheese cause cheese was extra, I said sure. I then sit down and all the silverware is dirty and waitress does not come back till midway through meal which had me grab silverware and napkins from an empty table.

The burger was super undercooked but again this all isn't the worst part. All of this happens at time to time at restaurants.

The worst part was when I got my bill and was charged $23 for a $15 burger. I expected it to be $16.50 with the $1.50 of cheese add on however it seems they charged me for each individual topping when i was very clear I didn't want these toppings to begin with and blatantly had no idea there was a charge.

I then asked the waitress kindly if I can have those toppings removed from my bill as there was a clear misunderstanding, however the waitress refused as she said I already ate them (we are talking about mushrooms and onions etc for god sakes)!

I then asked if I can kindly speak to a Manager and after 10 min, nobody arrived.

Finally a Manager came and after explaining the situation kindly, the manager then started to yell at me. Literally yell and tell me it's impossible to take those off (we landed on the moon, I'm sure taking the $1.50 off for mushrooms on a burger is within the realm of possibility). He then said he would eat the cost himself then returned the bill back with only half the items taken off. He then told me I was nickel and diming then and made me feel cheap and undervalued. Literally something I have never experienced in a restaurant before! I then asked the waitress the Managers name and she said "you can ask him yourself, now can you?" In history as a past waiter, I can literally never fathom stiffing a waitress and I ALMOST did but my conscience and my values kicked in and tipped her 20% sans the rest of what should have been taken off of my bill. My heart is still pounding from The most unnecessary rude humiliating restaurant experience in all of NYC. Avoid this place...

I hate leaving 1-Star reviews. I don’t want to be that person, really. But seriously, what the heck is going on here?

For such a small space, this was easily one of the loudest bars I’ve been to. I suppose that’s easy to have happen though when there is a group of 5-6 people who are all laughing and shouting at the top of their lungs.

For the positives, I will say this: the beer was good. I had the draft Brooklyn Lager and it was very refreshing and crisp.

Our waitress definitely didn’t care at all though. She barely spoke to us and acted weird when I asked for more water. My beer didn’t arrive until after the entree was brought out, and she walked by our table no less than 6 times without ever asking how the food was. Unfortunately, it was actually quite flavorless. It was like I was tasting the “idea” of food, not real food. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was quite dry and the shrimp were a bit overcooked and chewy.

The waitress never asked how our food was, in fact. She came by and picked up our plates without saying a word, and 5-10 minutes went by without us even getting the bill, so I had to flag her down and ask for it. Then it was at least another 5 minutes before she actually brought us the bill. Even after I asked, she brought out countless other drinks and items for other tables before bringing our bill.

Honestly, the mediocre food I could get past. The environment and the service though are bad enough that I really don’t see any reason I would ever come back. What a...

I had their grilled asparagus with shaved Parmesan and toasted shaved pecans which was spectacular! It's such a simple dish but their preparation and ingredients were absolutely top notch. The different textures came together remarkably well.

Their burger was wonderful too. It was perfectly seasoned, the American cheese was perfectly melted and slightly creamy just like I like it and the bun was super fresh and pillowy. The meat was hot with just the right amount of decadence but it still had the simplicity of what seemed to be a simple salt and pepper seasoning. I asked for medium well and it was cooked to perfection.

The atmosphere here was relaxed with a bit of rustic charm and the service was attentive and friendly. Their outside area seemed to be really popular during my Sunday afternoon visit but I was quite happy eating inside. This place is a gem and I look forward to visiting again when I'm in the area.

I took a picture after my first few bites of the asparagus dish so it might have ruined the art of the presentation but it was so good I wanted to keep a visual...

My Walker's vibes are a combination of Cheers/Westtown Saloon. I love that. My love and I are foodies and love popping cherries, especially together. We were coming from the museum Intern ( interactive). Our date nights consist of doing one thing out of the evening that's new. Whether to one of us or collective. So we chose Walker's. It wasn't too late into the evening, and customers were lightly placed about inside the bar area. We sat in the dining behind the wall of the bar. Table for two right next to the window. Excuse us, we didn't take pics of the food. Our burgers and fries, mmhhm.. good. Love and order an appetizer a piece. We try something new! I knew what it was. He did not, but I never ate it. Why not pop this cherry together. Potato latkes, usually potato pancakes and raw salmon with a side of sour cream. 😁 I like it. I would rather have small slices of salmon. It was still good to me. The outdoor seating looked to be bustling it was a beautiful day.

After seeing the Ghostbusters HQ across the street, my friend and I were hungry. We had walked over 20K steps in the city, so food and drink were next on the list. I saw Walkers across the street and we made our way over there. We sat at the bar and the very lively bartender, Steve, was such a great person to assist us. My friend ordered the Shrimp Scampi; she was ate every last bite. The guy next to us ordered the side of fries; they were cooked to perfection! I went with an order of chili cheese fries; side of fries with chili + cheese. I was surprised by the neat of the chili! The 2 Gents who were next to us at the bar gave us a new list of things to see in the city, since they are both natives of the area. Overall, we will be stopping by this place when we are in the area.
