I went to Zaro’s at 1825 Park Ave, Ny, NY months ago when I miraculously found this Zaro’s open in Harlem. The man there was overly nice to me on more than one occasion. I think two separate times. I was very grateful for my corn muffins. I want to know why this Zaro’s location is being ignored by management just because it is in Harlem. The sign says it is open from 6am to 7pm on the window but it is never open when I pass by at any of those times. Online it says it’s open 7am to 7pm. The Zaro’s app does not even include 1825 Park Ave in the Lee Building. You cannot even order and pick up or have it delivered or cater. What is going on? If you cannot care about opening this Zaro’s and including it even on your Zaro’s app, why is it even there. I truly hope you don’t close this location. Also, when I went to this Zaro’s and spoke to the very nice worker there. I wish I could remember his name. He was alone. That is unacceptable. The environment in Harlem can be tough. There are a lot of homeless people or people on drugs constantly standing around. You should never have a store open with one worker alone. That is very uncaring for his safety. I’m sure you have many, many workers in your Zaro’s stores in downtown Manhattan that I have visited over the years. It is not fair or right. I believe 100 years ago, your grandfather Zaro and his wife would’ve wanted to be fair to everyone rich or poorer. I speak for many people when I say that I want to see this Zaro’s location open at set times Monday to Friday. Harlem is improving very much. There are no longer only poor people in the area. As the community improves over the years, please improve this Zaro’s location. If you want it to be even safer, you can hire security maybe for this location?! Sorry I did not include a photo with a time stamp so you can see how no matter what time I pass by, it is never open! I want my corn muffins from there and...
Read moreIt's really sad to see that the bakery is doing so poorly during covid. For a while, they were only open up until 3 pm but now that it's open during regular hours again, I can definitely say that the pastries and goods have changed a decent bit. I'm not sure if there are new owners or not but the chocolate cake tastes hard and the texture isn't as good anymore. The size of their cakes has also gotten smaller while the prices stayed the same (around 5.50 per slice). Their cheese danish, which was their signature pastry, doesn't even taste the same anymore. They also got rid of my favorite thing, strawberry cheesecake. Overall, it's a bit of a bummer. I wouldn't really recommend anything but maybe the cheese danish is probably still the best thing they serve. The prices aren't as great...
Read moreI was there around 9am on Dec 3 2021 and unknowingly left my gloves there. The employee actually tried to chase after me to alert me (I didn’t hear him) and stored it at a safe place. I went back an hour later and was so touched to get my gloves back, because I had no hope and thought some customer must’ve taken them already. High praises and appreciation for the staff there. He was the only one working at the counter and was short staffed, but he still took the effort to look after the customers. He...
