Ive become a regular at Qaalis-its so nice to have a proper coffee shop in Newark! The espresso is strong and they have a diverse menu. However it’s clear they are still figuring things out. Staff still needs proper training- there have been multiple issues. On one occasion, the barista forgot to make mine and another customers drinks. We ended up waiting around for 15 mins until I had to go show the ticket again. On another occasion, the staff were overwhelmed by the rush and made multiple incorrect orders. Today I went at 11 am and they ran out of espresso and were waiting for a delivery. As with any new business, these things take time, so I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes with Qaali’s.
