JCPenney — Local services in Newnan

Patricia Poore is great and is a sweetheart ...but my patience was beyond tested to the max by the store manager of all people....Tasha Williams ...the day that this was written on was Thurs May 22 ...so day before a holiday weekend for sales ...I get to my first register and there was a lady helping someone and then she has problems with her machine and that line was taking forever as is ...so I moved to the next line to get checked out ...their checkout is horrible at times ...but of the few that could check you out one of the people was carrying on a very long, ridiculously long conversation with a customer ...I was fitvto be tied of being ready to go and seeing the cashier acting like she had all day to talk to someone instead of doing her job ...so I asked for the manager and it was the manager ...her name was Tasha Willians ...I was so frustrated that if ai didn't want my merchandise I would have left them...this lady does not need to be in management at all if she can't perform a job well ...that lady brought the Karen out of me for sure . I do hope people see this and she learns how to do her job better than what she was doing while I was there ...it was ridiculous for about 20 minutes trying to check out when all she was doing was running her mouth and...

I worked here 15 years ago part time making 8 dollars an hour. After being there for one year I received a 10 cent raise, for which the manager said now don't discuss this raise with anyone.....as if I would. I also remember a customer hitting me with her sales paper on black Friday because some item was unavailable for her granddaughter as a gift. I'm so thankful to be making 40.00 dollars an hour today and I was thinking about how far I've come. I disliked pushing credit card applications on customers and they were overly vigilant of some customers while the real thieves were the ones they least suspected or watched wearing big vera bradley totes walking out with all their stuff in those cutesy bags. They watching one segment of people meanwhile the section they are not watching was robbing them blind and unnoticed leaving empty hangers in the dressing room. This happened a lot in the teen section. Hopefully they will vigilantlly watch all people equally going forward. I shop here infrequently now, but I do find a nice sale every now and...

I went here with the intention of looking at jewelry and letting my mother find whatever she was needing. Linda at the jewelry counter came to help and after explaining what I had in mind, she led me to the display. In the middle of speaking to me, she stops and walks to another customer to begin helping her. Linda ignored me the rest of the time as I stood there waiting for her to come back. She never said "be with you shortly", or anything. Another associate attempted to help but as initially Linda was helpful, I was trying to get her the sale. Should have just went with the other woman! I was standing there at the gold counter as Linda helped this other person with a cheaper bracelet and proceeded to chat it up with her. I was thoroughly done when I came back around and asked if she was almost done to which she said yes then scoffed to the other woman as though I was bothering her.
