I come here once or twice a year, so it's unfortunate that I have to give this poor rating. First, I got to the drive thru at about 6:25 pm. When I placed my order, it was about 6:45. I had a coupon on my phone which I downloaded from their website. I've used them here in the past.The employee at the window had to ask the manager how to use it. The female manager said she didn't know how, and that since there was no bar code, she wouldn't. I told her I'd used them in the past, and she shrugged her shoulders & walked away. The employee at the window was very nice about it & apologetic. Against my better judgement, I went ahead & paid. She gave me drinks, and closed the window for a few more minutes. Then, she asked me to pull around. At this point, I'm really frustrated. It's been nearly 30 minutes, and they still wanted me to pull around. My 4 year old is in the back seat getting restless, and I have frozen food in the car from the grocery shopping we'd just finished prior. I wait outside 5 more minutes. I decided to just go in and get a refund. The manager tries to hand me my food and convince me to take it, and I told her I wasn't interested, only wanted a refund. She told me "in a minute" and walked away! When she comes back, she's very sarcastic and hesitant to do it, and definitely took her time intentionally. The other employees were so upset, as she was berating them in front of other frustrated customers. They kept apologizing to me. When I left and got back to my car, another very friendly customer told me he'd also waited 30 minutes for his food, saw how I was treated, and that they'd actually given him my food, and he'd saved it for me! So, I did still get my food. Ha! I still feel really bad for the other employees and will be calling corporate tomorrow. Read moreI just came through the drive-thru and ordered lunch for some co-workers and myself and it was actually a manager who just took my order and my payment and she was very rude, very snippety, just real fast with me, 0 friendliness, truthfully did not care to be at work today. I just know right now is a hard time and there's a lot of good people who need a job and I think it's terrible how I just was treated. Instead of her being friendly back to me as I was to her, she couldn't even put a fake smile on. The young lady who brought my order out to me because they had me pull around back she was very sweet she had a conversation with me, she was very kind. I also asked the manager who took my order if I can have extra mayonnaise and she proceeded to tell me it comes with mayonnaise and did not send extra mayonnaise in my bag. It's just really a shame. Read moreWe stood in the restaurant without any acknowledgment for 5 minutes. The staff saw us and even talked about us, but did not greet us or ask us to wait, they simply ignored us. Someone else came in after us and they were greeted. We were standing at the counter ready to place an order. After we realized that we were not going to get waited on or even greeted we decided to leave. It was not a good experience after a long work day and driving out of our way to have KFC. We will never return to this location in Newport, KY.
