Pharmacy tech Tanya is AWFUL and her response to an issue with my prescription was, "well, that's all I can tell you." š¤·š½āāļø
Issue: my prescription kept being sent to another location. My questions: Why? How can we fix this (because it was apparently taken care of the month before)? I continued to ask questions as to how we can prevent this from happening again (for the 3rd month) and she kept giving me contradicting information. She didn't care at all, just tried to pass me through the line.
Every question I initially asked her came back with a negative response (because she didn't care to even look through my account). Then I proceeded to ask her the same question, phrased differently, and her answer changed.....
She didn't care to take the time to figure out a solution to a VERY simple issue, just dismissed me, then called me rude because I told her she wasn't listening.
She ABSOLUTELY should NOT be face to face with people picking up or dropping off medication. She clearly needs to take a crash course on customer service and learn how to be empathetic with people who are picking up MEDICATION.
PLEASE assign Tanya to just filling pill bottles until she learns how to actually have some compassion, empathy and figure out problem solving skills before she interacts with customers. I feel SO sorry for the elderly or anyone else who just took her lazy excuses for not getting their prescriptions in a timely manner.
Completely unacceptable to look at someone picking up medication and say, " well, that's all I can tell you." Without doing their job and actually looking through someone's account and trouble shooting a problem.
*Aside from that, their pharmacist at this location has always been wonderful and accommodating. I will be contacting him today and corporate with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate** Things have improved post Covid, but there are still a couple front end managers that I don't think they enjoy their job very much. Maybe their feelings are valid, but you'll be much happier in life if you try to put a smile on your face. Smiles are infectious and go a long way when you work face to face with customers. Thankfully they have a few friendly/happy cashiers and their pharmacy is top notch.
I get it that stores are shorted handed, but Walgreens on Monmouth St was fully staffed today and the line was still 15 deep. I just needed to drop off a small FedEx package and the rude female manager behind photo bossing everyone around and not politely, couldn't take the time. They'll take photo in a separate line, but everyone else has to wait in the customer line that is 15 deep. IMO FedEx should be a separate line. It is a separate service. I'm sure FedEx would like to know the poor service their customers are receiving. This was my second attempt and it appears by the review left before mine, she had the same issue. They wouldn't accept my QR code. So I had to go back home and wait several days to get a label from the retailer. So not only do they not know how to fulfill their obligation to FedEx, they are unnecessarily rude to customers and employees. I will be avoiding this store. There are too many stores with friendly helpful service. I can accept if you're short handed, but there is never a reason to be rude to people. The cashiers have always been pleasant, but this manager has absolutely ruined this once convenient friendly service that this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a surgical procedure done this morning and my doctor called in an antibiotic for me to begin taking today ASAP as the 2 doses a day have to be taken 12 hours apart. I can see on my MyChart account that the prescription information was sent to the pharmacy here in Newport. I hadn't heard anything from Walgreens and I waited until 4pm to go and pick it up assuming that it was ready and they didn't have my updated phone number. There were about 8 people ahead of me in line and when it was my turn 20 minutes later, the tech at the counter informed me that they were still working through all the prescription orders from the day and that it would still be several hours. I was there in the store and he wouldn't take the time to go count out the necessary 14 pills. I updated my number and was told to download the app. It is now 6:30pm and I still haven't gotten a call or text that my Rx is ready. Thanks to the incompetence at this location, I will effectively miss one of my two prescribed doses of the day.
Update: It is now after closing the next day and still no prescription filled yet. This is absolutely unacceptable. Do not get your medications filled here if you need them in a timely manner. I called this afternoon the check on the status of my prescription and it is received but they are having a "mess of a time" filling everyone's orders. They couldn't offer me a window of time of when to expect my...
