Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Niles Township

I came in with my brother, both of us are college students with valid school IDs. My brother frequently uses the student discount at this location (which gives you a reduced price, chips and a drink) and convinced me to go to Jersey Mikes today by boasting of the deal that regularly keeps him coming back. Today when he tried to get the student discount they said it was only for high school students. Obviously they recently changed the rules, fine. However, the manager intervened, and was nice enough to give HIM the student discount anyway, saying "I'll let it slide." When I asked for the discount too upon checkout, the cashier refused to give it to me. I was baffled. It was like she was playing favorites, choosing to let it slide for my brother and not for me... even though we came in TOGETHER and stood right next to each other and talked to each other through the whole process! This was petty. Two people walk in together, and you choose to give one of them a discount and not the other?? I paid close to $10 for ONLY the sandwich... and my brother paid about $8 for the exact same sandwich, chips, and a drink. Looking back on it I should have just left and refused to buy the sub. I have never left any sort of negative review, nor am I the type of person to do so... but the level of pettiness that I experienced in Jersey Mikes today needed to be addressed. Needless to say, I will not be returning to...

Wow, the shady attitude from the workers here continues. I left a one star before, and have since been back and it’s been ok service. Until tonight. I got there, ordered a sandwich, said Mike’s Way and wanted to stay there to ask for added pickles, but another worker told me to move up, so I did. He rung me up, I FOLLOWED THE ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS, but there was some type of error. The fellow ringing me up rolled his eyes and condescendingly told me to FOLLOW THE ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS. I obliged, as sometimes things happen. It failed again, at which point the sale was started over, and more attitude. At no time was I able to add my shore points, and the worker was making my tip selection for me each time. He tried to complete the transaction himself three more times. He could not complete it either.

At this point I’d have expected an apology. Instead the guy swung the machine around and handed me my card and told me to do it. The register wasn’t working. I just left.

I went across the street to jimmy John’s with a sandwich in hand in less than 90 seconds. I have no idea what is wrong with this jersey mikes location, but I’m done with it.

I really hope I do not find six transactions...

I had a coupon for a free regular sub, and this was my first time trying Jersey Mike's. The sandwich I had ordered was the famous Philly.

When getting the sub there was a mix up at the register. When getting home, I noticed the sandwich was huge like the length of my arm. "This is the regular?" I remembered thinking. When I opened the sub I saw it had a lot of sauce on it. I called them and Ronny answered. Ron was very professional in explaining that we did infact have a mix up with bags. The sandwich was not a regular, and it was buffalo chicken. Ron insisted I come in and they'd give me the right sub for free. I kindly refused. We talked for a few minutes. I tried the sub while we were on the phone and it was good. Jokingly, I said to him "no worries, next time I come in I will just order the famous philly again." Ron told me to mention what happened and they'd discount my next order and give me a free drink. There was no compromise with Ron, lol.

Although the sandwich was not what I had ordered. Their customer service was great. Ronny was fantastic. The staff was very kind too. And you know what, that sub was...
