Each of our steaks was perfectly cooked to the specific degree of "doneness" everyone requested. The appetizers were served very quickly and were really good. Everyone had an exceptional experience. Bonus points for the free yummy rolls served before we even ordered. The service was fantastic and is quite possibly the best I've ever experienced. Each staff member wore a cheery smile, was extremely courteous, and was quick to attend to every request. An example of their amazing service: as the seating manager/greeter assigned our table in their system, I requested a table that wasn't too far for our handicapped members. Unfazed, with a few more taps, she cancelled our placement then assigned us to a new section. The server we were first assigned to arrived. The greeter sent her to get the server for the section we'd been reassigned to. He arrived in less than a minute, grabbed menus and utensils, and quickly seated us at the very first booth in the restaurant. Our table was located closer to the entrance than every other table there. Unfortunately, I do have a complaint. I added crab cakes to my entree. Sadly, they were the worst crab cakes I have ever eaten. First, they were served with a spicy sauce on top that was not mentioned in their description. I don't like anything spicy. However, they quickly and kindly replaced them, at no charge, with two fresh crab cakes, served without the sauce. They probably tasted better with the sauce covering what they were calling crab cakes. There was very little crab in either of my "crab" cakes. They were almost completely consisted of a (very lightly) seasoned breading and whatever they used as a binder. They add just enough crab flakes to the batter so they can "technically" call them crab cakes. They looked beautiful. They were golden brown and slightly crispy. The insides were awful. They were pasty, and I tasted nothing but seasoned breading. Not even a hint of crab flavor in either cake. They seemed to be undercooked, as well, which could explain their mushy consistency. Just avoid the crab cakes. You'll thank me. I technically have a second complaint. It's not nearly as big. The prices are a bit on the high end. They're definitely too high for most people to afford spending $50 a person on a single meal, no matter how good it is. Those prices really add up for a whole family. It's an expense most people would need to save for. That said, I will say it's not impossible to save enough to go there for a special occasion or to celebrate something. Even those really struggling should be able to save enough for at least one visit in your life. It's definitely worth it. Those are the only flaws I believe anyone would be able to find. (almost) Every bite was excellent. The service was outstanding. The seating was cozy despite being nearly full. I very highly recommend that you go as often as you can afford to. You won't regret it. Just don't get...
Read moreThird straight disappointing experience out of four total visits to this Logan's. Saturday night, we were promptly seated, fine start. Waiter introduces himself, fine, nothing exceptional. We get around to ordering, and despite my wife joking about "going big or going home" comparing the 6 oz. sirloin to the 8 oz., which on the menu are side by side, and our dad saying something to the effect of The Logan 12 oz. truly being the bigger option, she ultimately orders the 8 oz.
Long wait, wondering where are salads are, but our server is good at keeping beverages refilled. Different waiter, nice, more enthusiastic, brings our entrees first. Obviously would have preferred the salads first but do still request the salads, and he apologizes for the mix up. I remark to the table how, despite three of us ordering 8 oz sirloins, my wife's well done one comes out significantly larger than the others.
Original waiter comes back and takes responsibility, I guess. Not thrilled but life goes on. Food is good, really no complaints there and we're pretty satisfied in that regard. We've had a couple times where food quality was disappointing, so that was nice.
Later we realized when we got the bill, yep, you guessed it, got charged for the 12 oz. After studying the receipt we notice a 20% off e-mail applied. We had brought a 20% off coupon, which we try to give to the server when he comes to collect payment. He says, because of the salad mess up, he had already applied the coupon for us to make up for it. Well, that's great, except we brought the same coupon, it's why we came here, so what else can you do? "You'll just have to use it on your next visit."
Guess what? There won't be a next visit. Three of the four of us dining work in customer service related fields, and that service was sub-par. No visit from the manager on duty, which in the restaurant industry is an expectation any time there is an issue. The manager, according to other reviews from last night, was giving out free desserts to other guests who had a bad experience. Might have gone a long way with us. Three strikes and you're...
Read moreWent for a birthday dinner and ordered the 16 ounce ribeye. From the very get-go, it was coming upon closing time about an hour and a half before we arrived. (With reservation) so they obviously were not caught off guard. Service and server seemed very unenthusiastic and unpleased. We were there, I ordered the steak medium when it came the inside was very rare, They offered to throw it back on the grill And I reluctantly agreed after already being cut into. When the state came, the outside was torched half of it was well done. The other half was still rare. Better but rare. The worst part (HEALTH CONCERN)!!!!! It wasn’t even the same steak. I initially said nothing to the waiter but right away as soon as he walked away, the family spoke up Even agreed it was not the same steak the cut I had made in the first steak was missing. After that, it just so happens someone took a picture with the first steak included definitely different and a lower end cut. The manager ( not at all friendly herself and clearly “ interrupted from nothing but talking to other staff ” ) removed it from the Bill after being told they would remake my entrée and sides unfortunately however the kitchen had thrown out all the sides already at this point, and I would have to enjoy my meal without sides. Great birthday with family and friends terrible meal experience with Logans. Especially for a steakhouse, cooking a prime cut very very, very disappointing. I hope corporate reaches to this location and inspection happens. I also hope health concerns are not an issue considering I was supposed to receive the same piece of meat, not different. I don’t know what’s going on at this location, but something has to be done for this to ever be considered again for any of us. I would recommend finding another steakhouse based on my experience. That being said, I will give them credit our appetizers were very...
