Count me impressed. This little shop goes beyond my expectations to be honest. The food is presented beautifully, but even better is the taste. The atmosphere of the shop is very relaxed and they offer free WiFi to their customers. Their menu is a little pricey compared to your average Dunkin' Donuts, but what you are paying for is undeniably quality which makes it worth it in my opinion. For all those students out there, don't forget to ask for the student discount they offer. It makes things a little easier. They boast a wide variety of foods, juices, smoothies, and coffee. What I've experienced so far has run on the sweet side flavor wise (as opposed to savory or salty), but the menu is really creative with their recipes. For a small shop, their are fairly quick with busting out drinks, but if you are ordering food it may take a little while, particularly when they are busy. It's worth the wait though, so if you have some time I definitely recommend coming in and enjoying the atmosphere for an hour or two. If you are busy, they do do to-go orders and you are absolutely able to call ahead which makes life easier if you don't have a lot of time on your hands. They are on Colley Avenue which is a pretty busy street, so parking can be a bit of a problem at times. Don't worry too much though, because there's a fairly large amount of parking opportunities on the avenue and side streets. I also find that the pavement is pretty smooth and catered to wheels, so people who have issues walking shouldn't have too much trouble (though the store is small so there really isn't much space inside for something like a wheel chair to turn or maneuver). That said, they have a quaint little outside area that people should take advantage of in nice weather. I'm in love with their "Don't worry Be happy" bowl, which for an oatmeal bowl comes across as surprisingly light and refreshing. The "Cocomocha" coffee is deliciously sweet as well, but to be honest, the real gem of my experiences in this shop are their smuices. In that wonderful halfway point between a smoothie and a juice, these puppies are smooth and creamy while maintaining a fresh crisp taste because of the way they make them. The "Energy Rejuvenator" is an 11/10 and they are happy to bend the recipes for you picky people (like myself) or if you have allergies. I also recommend the "Turkish Delight" bowl, though I ate it to quickly to get a photo. It's really got a homey flavor that I would order over and over again on lazy winter morning. I really like their use of Cardamom which gives it a really unique taste.

Overall, I had a great experience at this small café with a solid selection of drinks and food. My family enjoyed an excellent breakfast, and it was clear that many locals frequent the spot—they seemed to know exactly what to order. The pricing was reasonable, except for the juices, which felt a bit steep at $6-$7 each. One downside is that the café isn’t very kid-friendly since they don’t offer high chairs, which made dining with my little one a bit challenging. The customer service was decent, but it could improve. The two staff members were clearly working hard, managing a steady flow of orders, so I won’t fault them for the slightly slower service. The self-order tablet is convenient, but it did take away from the personal interaction you might expect, especially for new customers who might have questions. I noticed another first-time visitor who seemed a bit lost and could have used some guidance. That said, the café was spotless, and the food was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back for another visit!

Jordan and Angel are awesome. They have my back all the time. I’m complicated with my order. (Rolls eyes I can’t help it) lol. HOWEVER, the Ghent location has started putting both smoothie bowls and oatmeal bowls in a deep paper bowl instead of the 2 inch plastic bowl the used to come in which hold heat and cold. I know the Earth matters but this ruins them. You don’t get to get the same options for your bites because you can’t see what you’re getting. I know this seems petty but this is what reviews are for. I live within crawling distance and this has been my go to forever. I’m paying $12 for these. I wish they could figure out a way to make this make sense. I’ll post before and after’s. I know I’m not the only one complaining about the stark difference. If it’s about going green, order different bowls at least. These suck. They don’t hold temperature and they end up getting soggy because they are paper. The original black bowls were like 2.5 inches deep.

EDIT: Why would I use my actual name? So you can retaliate? My inside knowledge should be enough to tell you all that I did in fact work here.

If you really value your health please don't go here. I worked here but quit due to unfair treatment of staff and my checks constantly bouncing. The kitchen is disgusting and any attempts that we made to better the restaurant were talked down by management.

The food is subpar for the price... $11 for a cheap bagel with chicken and veggies on it is not a deal, and every drink is like $6 starting. You're spending $20 for anything remotely resembling a meal here.

I was one of the only ones who cleaned the machines properly, owners refused to hire actual companies to make deliveries and insisted on buying produce from Walmart and Aldi to cut costs (nevermind that this prevents food contact tracing and is not safe for a restaurant). Half the equipment was broken and when asking for new essentials (i.e. a blender to BLEND essential mixes for smoothie bowls and drinks) we were told we were "ungrateful" for what we had (which was broken stuff).

Checks regularly bounced, with owners using zelle or cash app or even saying "just take money out of the drawer" to pay wages. The food is way too overpriced to have staff checks bounce. It's not like you shouldn't prepare weeks in advance to make sure there's money in the accounts.

Another note about the food, the "cold-pressed" juices are a lie, OJ is store bought Tropicana, and Apple juice is cider/apple juice from concentrate. We were routinely told to lie to customers about benefits and about where the juice was coming from ("fresh-squeezed"). You're better off juicing your own stuff.

Everything in the kitchen was cross-contaninated because it was literally impossible to get management to provide us with safe storage solutions. Roaches constantly in the back. I would try to dissuade people from buying certain products because I knew that the food was overpriced for the value.

We were constantly told to prioritize online orders, nevermind the fact that they would only schedule 3 of us all day when the store was packed, leaving in person customers dissatisfied and angry with us over having to wait 25 minutes for a sandwich.

When I quit I was the only one left from my hiring group. This is a sinking ship and I'm glad they got exposed for being a company that lies to both their employees and...

My first visit was today. The first juice I purchased, drop the beat, was good. The “Warm Bowl” was nasty - straight nasty. The Thai Market. Picture this: two small, nice slices of avocado perched atop and in and a half of sweetened shredded coconut. I couldn’t believe it. I just kept digging shredded coconut out of the bowl and piling it up. Enough for a full sheet of 7-layer bars I suppose. The “charred chicken” was way over seasoned and looked terrible, not tasty. The base was supposed to be “roasted potatoes” but it look more like lumpy melted butter. I think the bowl only fit the 3 small lumps because of the generous amount of sweetened shredded coconut. This coconut does not even appear in their menu photo. I could not eat 3/4 of the bowl because it was nearly all coconut with a small side of gross chicken. So I bought another juice. It was just okay and way too sweet, no nuance, just a sugar punch in the face. It was called Pulp Fiction but just tasted like sweetened pineapple juice. The guy who served me was nice, as a plus. Though the register was not being worked the first 5 minutes after I arrived, no one was on shift apparently. I’ll never eat their non-juice offerings again. Maybe I will try the “drop the...
