I recently visited Starbucks and had a very frustrating experience with my matcha drink. I requested extra matcha powder to make it thicker, knowing it wouldnāt increase the sweetness due to them switching to a less sweet version of the powder. However, when I received my drink, it tasted completely off.
When I returned to the counter to express my concerns, the barista insisted I was mistaken. I realized it was just matcha powder with milk, and they had forgotten the sweetener. Suddenly, another employee rushed over with a cup containing the four pumps of liquid sweetener needed for a venti drink and handed it to me. After arguing with me for several more minutes, they finally offered to remake my drink, but I was hesitant to accept that, fearing they might do something to it. Instead, I decided to add the sweetener myself.
To my dismay, I noticed the staff huddled in the back, whispering and looking at me, which made me very uncomfortable. Frustrated by the whole situation, I left the store and tossed my drink because I didnāt want it anymore, especially after being made to feel like I was in the wrong.
I expect better customer service from this establishment. This experience left me feeling dismissed and unsatisfied. I hope they take these concerns seriously and provide their employees with a refresher in...
