I ordered two side salads without cheese and it was displayed on the screen as such before I pulled up to get my food. When I was handed my food I checked it and there was cheese on both salads, so I told the lady working the window about it and she took the original salads back from me (which I expected of course) but seemed annoyed at me for the inconvenience and told me very shortly and almost at a mumble to just pull up to the door; no other communication. I pulled up to the door and shortly after a gentleman came out to give me the new salads. I thanked him and checked my salads again. This time they were without cheese which was great, but they were basically only half full of all content. I order these side salads from various Wendy’s all the time (without cheese) so I know what they are supposed to look like, not even to mention that the side salads I had received with cheese on them were very full, and mostly of the lettuce since the cheese is just a garnish. I’m not sure if they wanted to give me almost half of the salad contents on purpose because they were frustrated at me for having to remake them (their fault in the first place) or if it was just very poorly made. My other and more likely guess is that they simply took the cheese off by grabbing it all along with the lettuce to get it done quickly which removed almost half of the lettuce. I chose to not request any more changes because a) I didn’t want to be a “further” nuisance and b) I didn’t feel welcome at that location and didn’t want to experience more annoyed and unfriendly customer service. I didn’t receive an apology or anything else, and it made me feel like I made the wrong decision in going there although I go to different Wendy’s all the time. I am pretty understanding of working in the restaurant business and know how it can be when it gets busy (although it wasn’t very busy at all in the drive through) and that the work can be frustrating and mentally exhausting. I also hold the view that fast food workers are generally underpaid and unappreciated, so I try to keep a very open mind in these types of unsatisfying situations. However this is the only Wendy’s location I’ve ever been to where I won’t be going back because it seemed to be asking too much of them to make two side salads without cheese and without unhappy customer service. On the bright side, my two plain baked potatoes with chives were perfectly made. I’m glad there was something that made spending my money...
Read moreThis place does one thing reliably... They get the order wrong. They will either leave out key items like sauces, spoons, napkins, or straws or neglect to fulfill the order correctly. We've received spicy chicken instead of classic, we've received classic chicken instead of grilled (back when that was available), and we've been given less than the number of nuggets ordered (9 out of 10). Also, when we received neither straws nor spoons for our frostys, I went back and walked into the store to get spoons from the self-service table. There were none there so I waited at least a minute until any employee would acknowledge my presence. When someone finally did, I asked if they had any spoons and the person went to the back to get them (right after sneezing into their hand). They were gone another two minutes or so. They came back with a handful of (thankfully) pre-wrapped spoons and refilled the spot in the counter where I had looked for them and handed a couple to me. We've also waited in line for a while only to find out their frosty machine was down or they were out of the flavor we were looking to get.
If it was one incident, I would give them the benefit of the doubt, let it go and chalk it up to an off-day. After a second time, I stopped going there for a while. This two-step happened a second time (4 visits in all).
After nearly 6 months, I stopped again (my 5th and hopefully last time) in a moment of desperation (hungry kid craving nuggets in a time crunch and on the way). That's when we got 9 out of 10 nuggets and again no spoons or straws for the frostys. It was at that point that I decided to leave a review. Enough is enough and maybe now I will better remember to stop somewhere else at nearly any cost since we've had a history of not getting our money's worth at this location.
Lastly, if you do choose to give this one a try, be careful on the entry and exit of the parking lot. It's easy to scrape the undercarriage of your vehicle given the incline of...
Read moreRude. Rude. Just rude. I don't come here often because the first couple of times I came I had to deal with incorrectly made orders, nasty attitudes from management and crew members who don't really have the leadership and guidance they need to be able to perform any better. The gentleman with the locs who takes orders at drive-thru is always nice and professional but by the time you turn that corner and get to the window you have some zombie like crew member standing there looking at you like they don't know why you're at the window (because they have placed themselves on DND and don't care/weren't properly trained to interact with the customer which is actually a part of their job as a drive-thru attendant) then you have a manager who is standing behind them and you attempt to relay the problem to her but all she can do is try to chastise versus actually listening to the concern about what is missing/needed. I can understand wanting to maintain an acceptable drive-thru time but you are only extending your drive-thru times by giving poor customer service with attitude and rudeness. I used to work for Wendy's long ago and to be honest with you there's so many times I've gone to a location and almost offered to get back on the roster and actually help out with training and show these younger crew members how it's really done and how easy it really is to be professional and fast but unfortunately that would mean working with some of these same rude managers. The last time I visited this location before today there was a manager in there bless her heart who was so stressed out because she was working with an all brand new crew and she even mentioned not even coming in the next day. If your managers are overstressed, overworked & blatantly do not care what comes out of their mouth in front of their staff or customers then how do you really expect to improve your review scores or improve your relationships with your crew members or your customers?...
