Ziggy's on Granby — Restaurant in Norfolk

Ooh let's talk about the newest restaurant to move into this location, Ziggy's Streat Eats. It's so nice to see this business expand from being a food truck outside on Granby Street to now having their 2nd brick & mortar location in Hampton Roads. I've been wanting to try them out for a while (especially since they blew up on TikTok) and they did not disappoint.

It was packed inside; the most packed I've ever seen inside this space (when it was in previous restaurants), so I knew the food was gon be fye It also smelled amazing and I had no idea what to get since it was my first time. Rob, whom I'm assuming is the owner, was super nice and recommended that we get the rice bowl with everything in it and he even let my friend and I each get an order of their jerk chicken eggrolls on the house. I really appreciated that, I can tell that Rob values customer service.

BAYBEEEE the food was bussin'! They seasoned their food DOWN! There was so much seasoning on the rice bowl that it got on the outside of the box. I loved both the eggrolls and the rice bowl. Additionally, I usually have to ask for extra sauce on the side when I order food, but here their food already comes with plenty.

Rob even checked on my friend and me to ask how the food was, and I had to let him know that he secured a regular and that I was going to tell all my friends, and the good people on Google about this spot, so run don't walk to Ziggy's Street Eats if you're looking for some GOODT...

The young lady that was at this location on Dec 23rd, was the cashier. She is one of the worst people to have running a cash register, her attitude is disgustingly horrible, her customer service is worst, and she is a bit disrespectful. She is going to run good paying long-term customers away. She had the audacity to say the owner is not allowed to give out sauce (for some undercooked rushed chicken with balls of rice the size of golf balls) in my bowl. The owner has given me and my husband sauces and cake before it's called great customer service it's called keeping repeat customers happy. That young lady need some serious etiquette classes, customer service classes and even more an adjusted attitude. That Granby street location will not see us ever again. Get better service at the portsmouth location, I use to go 3 to 4 times a week now because of Granby street my visit will decrease...

I came in around lunchtime. There weren’t many people in the restaurant. It wasn’t too hard to find a spot to park. Granby Street Can be really busy at times but more importantly, I’m making this review because I found the lady at the front counter to be rude she may have been having a bad day. I’m not sure but me and my friends stood there like five minutes before anyone greeted us or even asked what we would like to order. We waited about 5 to 10 minutes to receive the food. My friend ordered the french fries with wings. She said her fries were undercooked and everything was extremely salty like it had lemon pepper all over it. I had the rice bowl with the crabcake. The crabcake was OK I’ve had way better, the rice tasted like Uncle bens boil in the bag and the onions and vegetables they had on top were not sautéed properly . Thought I found me a summer...
