I was really looking forward to trying out their chocolates as the reviews raved about this place. Not sure why such high reviews. My experience with this chocolate factory in North Bend was nothing to race about. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars was for the gal that was working behind the counter as she was very kind, patient, and doing her best with a group of people and she was the only one working. That's the nicest thing I can say. I had the Huckleberry ice cream, it was ok, not anything special. The cookies in the display case did not look appetizing to say the least. As for the chocolates, what I was super excited to try, was a huge let down. First off, they were so hard to bite into and then once you were able to finally get a bite, they didn't taste gourmet in the slightest. Cheap chocolate with extremely high prices. Very overrated for mediocre ice cream and chocolates. I have no reason to ever step foot in there again. With those kind of prices, you would think you would be biting into buttery smooth, rich chocolate not some hard, crusty chocolates. Don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Iāve been to. We were in Leavenworth for my birthday and I wanted an apple pie apple from Rocky Mountain. I went in and they only had two apples that were not Apple Pie. The owner told me she didnāt have any and she was closing for the next three days. On our drive home we stopped at North Bend Rocky Mountain. The owner had two apple pie apples left, ( I needed 4) instead of saying sorry, thatās all I have, she told me if I had 10 minutes she would make me four apples right then. I was shocked at how generous her offer was. I waited the 10 minutes and had the best conversation with this wonderful woman. I bought 4 caramels and 4 apple pie apples that were freshly made and DELICIOUS! Incredible customer service and my apples and caramels were incredible! My birthday was perfect because of her. Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor a place that has chocolate in the name, theĀ chocolate drinks are sorely disappointing. The hot chocolate in particular was essentially a cup of only steamed milk. The only chocolate that must have touched that cup was the name of the store printed on it. Additionally, the employee forgot the whipped cream and seemed bothered that I wanted it on.
One star for the chocolates you can buy per pound and another for the cookies, though they do not warm it up for you.
My only request is that if you call something a hot chocolate or a white chocolate mocha, please put some chocolate in it. Or else change the name accordingly to "a cup of steamed milk and overwhelming...
