I have been to this location 4 times in the last 2 months. I wish I was able to give a negative Star.
The first time a large group of us went to dine in, not only did we have very slow service. The food came out sporadically where some of our party received our food, and others had to wait almost 20 minutes until their food arrived. It was not only annoying but to put matters worse, the service was plain awful. Because we were a large group I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
The second time my son and I came for wings, the service was extremely slow. To the point where we had to chase our server down in the back to just get refills of our drinks.
The third time my daughter and I went, we left the restaurant after over 20 minutes of waiting for soneone to come to our table. We noticed that other table that came in after us not only got served drinks but also appetizers. before leaving, I asked several servers if we could put an order in; one particular server pretended to not even hear me, and I had to approach him where he was standing next to his manager. I told the manager of our situation and wait time, told him I would never come back again. That particular server said we didn’t need us to come bad. Very rude.
My son wanted wings again, so we attempted to go during a late lunch where the restaurant was not too crowded. Again, we did not get prompt service. To the point where my son and I actually put a stopwatch to measure the time it took for a server to come to our table. we tracked 11 minutes, but keep in mind we had already waited approximately 10 minutes before we started the stopwatch.
Much like our previous experience, we noticed that some tables were getting served. It seems as if the African-American servers only approached other African-American patrons and ignored anybody else. The service has to be addressed. It’s unfortunate with such a good location that this particular buffalo wild wings has such poor service. The management team needs additional training and not only Customer Service but proper training to communicate to their team.
During that particular lunch, there was another table of five where they also received poor service. The father practically yelled at the servers in manager. He was very frustrated that only one of the five orders came out after waiting for almost 45 minutes after ordering. The server gave him an attitude as if he did not care.
Also, to note, we noticed there was a sign saying, if patron gave a five star Google review that they would be eligible for 25% discount on the total bill. Clearly, this is a sign that they recognize their service and overall restaurant lacks however, they are not willing or taking any action to improve the service without bribing patrons to do so.
When I asked our server after the 20 minutes when they approach the table, I asked about the discount and he did not know anything about it. He said he would not be able to honor any discount.
So any of the five star reviews as of late seems to be a result of them bribing customers to receive a discount. I could say, without a doubt that this particular location is extremely managed poorly and operation needs...
Read moreWorst service, didn’t even eat or drink anything. My friend & I were told immediately the kitchen was closed at 10:30 pm (they gave no reason), he sat us was supposed to find out what kind of Pinot Grigio they had, never came back, so our friends and kids arrived, still no service going on or over 30 minutes. This was the night of March madness final 4, Duke and NC State. When looked for help my friend thought she found our server, but just asked another coworker if we could get served. A worker came to us and she said she smelled alcohol and wouldn’t serve us, what?? We asked to see a manager and he collaborated her story. I have never been treated like this in ANY RESTAURANT IN ALL OF MY 48 years, with our teenage children, so we left, I spoke to another manager the next day and he took my name and number, left a message with the Corperate office Nobody called back, absolutely nothing. Come to find out my friends daughter knew a girl from school that worked there, and she said the whole kitchen and staff were watching the game. So not only are they lazy but they are liars. So disrespectful, I’ve worked within hospitality my whole life and have NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS. DON’T EAT HERE!!!!!!
This is the response from the general manager at Buffalo Wild Wings on Providence Rd.:
Good Afternoon Rebecca,
My apologies for not getting back to you as somehow I misplaced your contact information. I did investigate the issue we spoke about. Although we do have the right to not serve alcohol, the situation was handled incorrectly. I have coached the team on how to better communicate. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will give us another opportunity to give you a pleasant experience.
Regards, Ralph DeFelice General Manager
So, apparently the way I’m going to have to interpret this is to be now considered discrimination against white people/LGBTQ according to the response from the manager and the server on duty that night who were African American.
How do you explain, when first entering the establishment that YOU ARE NOT SERVING FOOD, but we can get you something to drink, then seating us, that server going to check on what type of Pinot. To telling me above that you have the right not to serve us alcohol and you didn’t mention that your staff CLEARLY SAID THEY ARE NOT SERVING FOOD AT 10:30 AND WATCHING A BASKETBALL GAME. Wow, yes better communicate to the guests, NOT accuse them of being drunk when you All sat...
Read moreHonest to God, the worst customer service I've experienced in a long, long time. No one greeted us, no one showed us to a table (we finally seated ourselves), I finally went and got someone and told them that we were there. It took forever to get drinks and then REALLY forever to get the food and even then the order was wrong. The waiter did not write the order down (which never impresses me, only makes me anxious that it will come out wrong...which it did). My chicken was dry and very little hot sauce on it. My friend's chicken tenders were over cooked. My friend had asked for unsweet tea with packages of sweetener on the side. We had to ask for the sweetener 3 times to finally get it (and it ended up being a different wait staff person besides our waiter who finally got it for us). He added the hard-earned sweetener to his tea to then find out that the waiter had brought sweet tea instead of unsweet tea. So now it was undrinkable. When the waiter FINALLY came back and we asked for a new glass of un-sweetened tea, it came with NO ice. My meal had come out without the french fries that I ordered (clearly he forgot about them since he didn't write the order down)...I ended up eating all my chicken without the french fries. When the french fries finally, finally came out, I realized they had no salt on them. Due to COVID-19 there are no salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Nor napkins or silverware, for that matter. We had to beg for those items as well. (I say "beg", because EVERYTHING we asked for, we had to ask for 2 to 3 times before the waiter could remember to get it.) When I asked for salt for the french fries, he brought me ONE tiny little packet of salt and ONE tiny little packet of pepper..and I know you're going to think I'm making this up, but the little paper salt packet had no salt in it. I swear, I got the only defective packet in the bunch, I guess. And this wouldn't have been a problem if he had brought me more than ONE to start with. So, bottom line...the food wasn't good, the service was absolutely horrific and I have made a note to never, ever go back into this particular Buffalo Wild Wings. No matter how hungry you are...I promise it will serve you well to drive somewhere...
