Worst experience imaginable. Walked in to a very busy restaurant and was told to find a seat. Tables that sat 6 had 1-3 people and it was difficult to find a table for our family of 8. When we found the table, it was set for 6, we asked if it'd be ok if we added a few chairs at the end, we were told that we couldn't block the walkway. I asked the waitress what she suggested, she looked around only to come back and tell us we'd have to make it work. So we squeezed extra chairs in and made it happen. There was definitely no comfort or personal space after this.
We ordered our beverages, which included 4 coffees. There was a total of 2 creamers on the table, so I asked for a small glass of milk, she informed us that if she brought anything bigger, she'd have to charge us. (Never been charged for milk for my coffee before!) My coffee remained full until my food came, then I had no drink the rest of the time as she never returned to fill the cup again.
We ordered our food, all breakfast items. We watched several tables that were sat after us get their food and even leave before our food came. Nearly an hour later the food finally arrived. The home fries looked like they had freezer burn and were served cold and soggy. We wereā never given our 7th and 8th set of silverware, even though we asked for the extra settings. Those who had breakfast sandwiches shared their forks with those that needed them. About halfway through the meal I found a 2 inch black hair in my daughters food. Moments later my other daughter pulled several longer blonde hairs out of her pancakesā.
When it was time to leave we had to request out check after patientlyā waiting for an excessive amount of time. Upon going up to the register to pay we were able to get a look at the kitchen. It was gross. Dirty and unkempt. No one was wearing a hair net or proper protective wear for working in a kitchen.
Very disappointing. Don't eat here. Do yourself a favor and hit up Dunkin Donuts, which is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and my two friends stopped in I have eaten there many times in the past 22 years I recommend the place to them they were expecting a great experience but needless to say things seem to have gone desperately wrong for them, as we sat down for a half hour before the waitress came over with menu's then 20 minutes later we ordered a dish I recommend from eating there in the past it took so long to make the table I actually nodded off reading on my phone and then the long awaited food shows up but without salads the menu clearly states it comes with when asked about the salads they did not have the items to make them (mind that this days specials had two different salad offerings) ok we can substitute from the other listed sides is our choice okay we picked and dug in the vegetables in the dish we're under cooked, shrimp sill had peel on some one even had a few legs very little of the other included meat at all ,it took 4 times of my friend asking before he received silver ware my tea was never refilled to the point of there was no ice in it period so last thing the bill right at $100 bucks with the up charging for the salads they didn't have and the fact that wasn't disclosed to us needless to say I was less than thrilled so after being there for nearly 2 hours and having the slowest server possible and awful food to bat, I didn't tip nothing but all of a sudden the slowest server in the world can run outside to my truck and complain???? Every word of this is true I'm a small business man myself and hate giving a small business a bad review but this one is to help them improve to there former...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat an absolutely charming and FRIENDLY place! Everyone greeted us and were genuinely happy we were there. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! We have a handicapped daughter with special dietary needs, and Jesus, our server, checked her allergies with the chef. She had the salmon patty special, which was perfectly prepared to the consistency she needed. It looked so good, so we all tried it...it was superb!! I had the steak quesadilla, and the meat was so tender, it practically melted in my mouth. My husband had the shrimp and it, too, was absolutely delicious! Even the homemade coleslaw that came with it tasted wonderful! We saved room for desserts and were blown away by the selection and taste. It was hard to decide there were so many mouth-watering choices...I had creamsicle cake, it was absolutely heavenly. The taste and texture was perfect! My husband had the 12-layer cake...yes, that many layers. Such a pleasure to eat that moist, flavorful treat. Again our daughters needs were perfectly met with a smooth banana pudding with a surprise at the bottom! Apparently the desserts come from the local bakers! To round out this experience we had the most delightful server, Jesus. His sense of humor, attention to detail, and sincere desire to please, put him at the top of our list of "best service of all time." Our evening ended with a check-in by the owner (I think that's who it was) making sure we were happy. It was a perfect way to start our Outer Banks vacation. We will...
