Delicious fresh healthy food at a reasonable price! Great service!
Located in a newly developed shopping area at the intersection of Providence Rd and Ardrey Kell, a little south of 485. If you enter at the light on Ardrey Kell the restaurant will be on your left.
Order at the counter, get a number and a server delivers it to your table. Sometimes the line is long, but moves quickly. Multiple friendly employees are circulating around the restaurant checking to see if you need anything so you don't have to try to get the attention of one specific server. There are lots of tables both indoors and on a covered patio in the back.
We had a whole chicken (free range) and three large sides which is enough to feed 4 adults for less than we would spend at any local fast food restaurant and Viva chicken is healthier.
Their rotisserie chicken is juicy with a nice, mildly seasoned, crisp skin. The whole chicken is cut into quarters making it easier than picking meat off an intact one. I think there are three dipping sauces of varying degrees of heat, but honestly I like the flavor of the chicken so much that I don't use them.
The green beans are great, they remind me a bit of the sauteed green beans at an Asian restaurant. The cilantro rice is perfect, not sticky, but not dry either, with a few peas, diced carrots, and fresh cilantro thrown in. My MIL professes to hate cilantro, but she loves this rice.
The fries come in a large basket and are a hit with the kids. We've been here a few times but haven't tried any other sides because we liked these three so much; however, there are healthier options like fruit salad instead of fries. Last time we opted for two green beans and one cilantro rice, the beans are that good.
There are many intriguing options for individual meals also, ranging from salads to sandwiches. We have not tried these yet, but hope to in the future. For a family, the meal with the whole chicken is the best deal!
They have many healthy beverage options, but I love that they have Cheerwine in the soda dispenser! (For non-locals, Cheerwine is a delicious caffeinated cherry flavored soda) probably filled with too much red dye so off- limits to my kids.
I really can't give enough praise, I love this...
Read moreThis location needs a major customer service adjustment/upgrade. We ordered with a woman who seemingly did not know what she was doing and it took forever. We asked for a sample 2 of the juices before deciding & instead of letting us sample the second, we mentioned not loving the first and she just said “ok so the yellow one” and proceeded to pour it into a large cup. She seemed a bit short fused or lost, so we chose to disregard to not be difficult. Then our food arrived and we’re missing a large yucca side order. We didn’t keep the receipt so I went back up to the counter and asked the girl if they could give us our missing side order. The woman who took our order walked over and with an accusatory tone as if I’m pretending to have ordered it and raising her voice saying that it was never ordered/rung in. At this point I respond with “ok can you ring it in then?”. She proceeded to ring it in with a very rude tone the entire time. The couple behind me waiting on a to go order even commented on the rude behavior/response. I ask another girl working if I can get the managers information. They tell me her name is Rebecca, I watch the manager walk out and can hear their gossip session. The couple that was waiting on the order was kind enough to then inform me of what they were saying and it was not customer centric to say the least. Another girl comes with our yucca order, naturally does not bring the accompanying huancaina sauce to which I have to remind her comes with the order…she then proceeds to tell me that the manager is out to which I say ok thank you. I’m fully expecting the manager to do a touch point with the table and to my surprise she never comes. I mean no wonder their customer care is rotten it goes up to their management. Truly a lackluster experience. We like Viva chicken but the food is not that good to be...
Read moreWe order from Viva Chicken at least 1-2 times per week for either lunch or dinner, but these past few weeks at this location has been terrible. For the last order (4/27/22 at 6:00) that we picked up, a side item and sauces were missing. My friend called the store to explain the issue. He was told to present the receipt, and we would get the items. I also wanted to make another purchase too. I drove back there to get the missing items, and the manger (who spoke to me in a very rude manner) told me that he knew nothing about this order. I explained to him several times, but he continued to say the same thing. I even called my friend to explain the situation to him on the phone. I showed him the receipt, and he asked to see it more than once. I found his behavior to be rather surprising, since he was the actual person that handed my friend the order 30 minutes prior. I was in the store for another 15 minutes before he tossed a bag of sauces and the side item on counter. There was no apology issued when they were the ones that made the mistake. And I had to drive all the way back to the store. The manager's name is Qui (forgive me if I misspell the name). I can't believe we even came back to this store, because the curbside is never curbside. I always have to go in to pick up my order. Three weeks ago, we waited for 40 minutes for our order, because they were so behind. The chicken wasn't even cooked properly. We had to put the chicken in the air fryer. Again, no apology for the wait. I have given this location so many chances to make improvements to their order process, quality of product and customer service. I will not be back. Yesterday, we went to another Viva Chicken location. Service and food was exactly what...
