Where can I even start, Amazing.
Reaching the cafe I was met with a warm welcome and amazing hospitality. The food all looks delicious and the coffee smelled amazing. I decided to get an iced latte and took suggestions from the staff on what food item I should get. I eventually got an apple strudel.
The food and drinks were amazing, priced well, and some of the best I think I’ve ever had not only in Charleston but in life. The presentation was beautiful for my sweet treat and the staff was very friendly and had a conversation with me.
I learned that this was a newly opened (less than 6 weeks) European style cafe with lots of art and pictures from all over but that the cafe is family owned by a nice German family that moved here to start something inside of the US. I could tell they have passion, love, and dedication to everything they make in the store from what their son Ben told me during my visit. From the cafe being run and maintained by his mother to his father making the pastry’s and sweet treats, they put their all into every detail.
I can tell Ben and his family are determined to create a successful small business, while providing the upmost care and quality to all guests who visit. It is truly what you look for in a “mom and pop” business and I will continue to return and support them as they grow and share their delicious craft with the Charleston area.

Definitely starting to feel like a favorite.
Tried Cafe Charlotte today after seeing someone mention it on Facebook and I’m so glad I did! The food was amazing and the whole place just felt really welcoming. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed unfortunately and they still made us feel right at home, no rush at all. 🫶🏽
I’m pescatarian and had no trouble finding something delicious. I got the kiddocino white chocolate foam milk and it was sooo good. My friend had an espresso and really liked it. We shared the Carolina Garden salad with blueberry americano ranch, a sub and each had a slice of cheesecake. Everything was fresh, filling and super affordable. So sad I didn’t grab pictures but hopefully next time I’ll remember!
It was just one of those visits where everything felt easy and good. I’m really thankful we stopped by. 10...

Environment: The place has an amazing vibe. It’s cozy, creative, and feels like something straight out of a movie. It has that warm, community feel that makes you want to stay longer. We even met a really nice couple sitting next to us, ended up chatting, and exchanged contact info. Definitely the kind of spot that brings good people together.
Service: Kylee, our barista, was super friendly and helped us figure out what to order since it was our first time. I also spoke with the owner, Tom, who’s genuinely one of the nicest and most personable owners I’ve met. You can tell he really cares about his customers and the experience.
Food Quality: We ordered the Caprice and the Big Tom, both flavorful and perfectly made. Added a little turkey and it hit the spot. The bread had that perfect crunch, everything was fresh and balanced.
Overall: Family-owned, welcoming, and full of character. Café Charlotte feels like a spot you’d stumble upon in a film authentic and unforgettable. Highly...
