I was literally JUST there maybe 15 minutes ago. 2 people ahead of me. I get to the counter. I order a foot long spicy Italian on white, provolone cheese toasted. Lettuce, xtra onions, pepperchinis,oil & vinegar, salt pepper.
Mind you, the sandwich is what... $5.99 + tax?.... I was rung up for like $9.7+ cents... At the moment, I DID believe due to covid, prices went up. As it has everywhere...
I was rushing. I got out to my vehicle and went to the next location. The alcohol store at Craig and Clayton. Before I went in I dug thru the bag to find the receipt.
They charged me for a FOOT LONG STEAK AND CHEESE for $8.99 + tax. I immediately call the number on the receipt... Rang enough to go to a home sounding answering machine. I hang up. I go thru maps and choose the option to call off the app.
A female answer the phone. I explain the situation. Also that I was there approx 5 minutes ago. She knew who it was i describe as the sandwich maker and the person who rang me up mischarging me.
She then says. So what do you want to do? I said ive no problem coming back with the receipt and the sandwich. She I didn't have to and again ask what I wanted. I told her that I wanted to be charged the CORRECT amount.
She said something along only the manager can do that. There is NO manager working at the moment and that there was no point in me coming back because she believe me. She said she would call the manager, inform them. She asked for my name and phone number and that they will call me back.
Bottom line. Charged $3 more plus the added tax.... Having to wait for a manager to call me back. Re- explain the situation. Not to mention NOT having the opportunity to return right then and there to speak to a manager. A supervisor at that.
That is nothing more than POOR, inept customer service not to mention it is a form of theft by misleading.
That being said... I too do accept that I could've opened my mouth right then and there. That being said. I am a human. There where others people there too. Which did make me feel uncomfortable in questioning the employees as I did believe that the price had gone up. However, that being said... Finding out via the phone conversation, even had I mention right then, there was NO manager or supervisor there to correct the issue.
I hands down will NOT return or eat here again. I will NOT suggest this location due to the fact that operate with NO person of superiority and that they do operate in overcharging/ mischarging consumers also having NO capabilities of correcting THEIR...

While preparing my food she offered a small genuine conversation which was appreciated. Usually, at Subway, the server just kinda look at u waiting for u to tell them what all u want and only ask what can I get u and tell u your total.
