Farofa used to be good, and I would order delivery from them once a week because of their home-cooked meals and fresh ingredients. However, their quality has declined significantly lately, and they’ve been skimping on the meat portions.
I weigh my food, so I know for a fact that they are not providing as much meat as they used to. Last time, the portion was so small (about 4.5 oz of meat). On top of that, the pão de queijo they use to give with the orders was missing. I called the restaurant and spoke to Gabriel, who apologized and promised to make up for it. He assured me that since I was a good customer, he would double the meat and add extra pão de queijo on my next order. He told me to just call the restaurant after placing the order from uber eats to let him know or the manager since he would keep a note. He also acknowledged that the pão de queijo had been missing and agreed with my suggestion to seal the containers properly, as the current packaging often allows sauce to spill and is not tamper resistant.
However, when I placed my next order and asked for Gabriel, I was told he no longer worked there. I asked to speak to a manager, but the lady on the phone refused and said I could talk to her instead. When I explained the situation, she dismissed my concerns, insisting that the meat portions are always 8-10 oz and saying there was nothing they could do since Gabriel no longer worked there. I explained that my last order only had 4.5 oz of meat, but she refused to acknowledge the issue. She also ignored my suggestion about sealing the containers, saying they “tie the bags tightly,” which clearly doesn’t solve the problem.
Once again, my order contained less than 8 oz of meat, and the sauces from the meat and beans spilled all over the bag. It’s clear that they don’t care about their customers feedback. As a loyal customer who used to order weekly, I’m deeply disappointed and won’t be ordering from Farofa again. They’ve lost a loyal customer, and it seems...
Read moreI was introduced to Farofa by a friend, I loved the food, would go here and there but then one day I went with my family, we ordered, sat down patiently, 30 minutes went by and our food never came. Waited another 15 minutes and nothing, finally I went to the cashier, she spoke to the cooks and they were confused, had no clue. When they finally had our food ready, they gave us the wrong meats. I thought maybe it was just a rare occurrence. Fast Forward to 02/15/2025, I go with a friend to sit down and eat, my friends food came out, he ate his entire plate while I sat patiently waiting, 30 minutes go by and my food did not come out, by then my friend grew impatient and decided to leave. I went up to the cashier with my number and asked about the food and he told me to go speak with the cooks, when I firmly asked him if the cooks had the food ready, he went over to them and yet again they were confused, I had number 53, by then they were serving the mid 60s. The kitchen manager claimed that the receipt didn't print out and that my food hadn't been made, I asked for a refund and left. Time is of the essence and I lost about an hour driving there, paying and waiting, just to not get served. It appears the restaurant is under new management and they have new cooks. I rarely leave negative reviews cause I'm easily pleased but without a doubt, I will not be returning to Farofa, it's very unfortunate but I hope this doesn't...
Read morestopped by for a late lunch. I ordered the Sâo Paulo and coxinha along with rice and beans. The lady taking my order was a little preoccupied so I waited for her to finish so that my order would be accurate After paying 8 sat outside waiting for the pager to sound. After 30 mins or more I was still sitting. I decided to go in where I sat and additional 10 minutes. Finally my pager went off. I told the guy that I had waited a very long time on my "fast food." He double checked the receipt and said yes it's been over 30 minutes and that he was sorry. He explained that it took so long because they had lost my food receipt. I then went back to the lady that took my order. She was surprised that I had waited so long and also said that she was sorry. Neither of these people offered a discount, soda or even a free dessert for my trouble...simply an Im sorry. This is unacceptable! I frequent this place every so often but if this is the type of customer service they are giving I will happily take my money elsewhere. If you know you made a mistake the least you can do after saying I'm sorry is to offer a discount or offer something free to make up for the mistake. The place was not overly crowded or anything. You guys MUST do better if you want to grow...
