We came to the spa at 12 PM with great excitement. Two pleasant girls greeted us — a wonderful start. I brought 6 new clients with me and recommended this place highly. The spa area itself was clean, relaxing, and the staff there was attentive and helpful — big thanks for that. But unfortunately, the restaurant completely ruined the experience. The waiter seemed lost and honestly looked like he was either extremely inexperienced or just not fully present. We ordered coffee and baklava. The coffee came right away, but the dessert was brought 20 minutes later. Everyone knows these should be served together — no one wants to drink cold coffee with dessert. I asked for juice with no ice — they brought it with ice anyway. Had to send it back. The chicken with vegetables was decent, no complaints there. Then came the worst part. After we finished eating, we were told to give our name because the restaurant bill would be added to the spa front desk. I clearly said we would each pay separately and listed exactly what I had. The waiter ignored that completely and just wrote my name. When I got to the front desk to pay, the employee looked like she had no idea how to handle the check. She barely spoke English, so I asked if she spoke Russian. Her response: “I speak Ukrainian.” I’m sorry, but what does that have to do with anything? We’re in the U.S., and I expect staff to understand basic English and how to process a payment. The bill started at $177, then kept dropping — twice she charged me for the same juice I had alone — and it eventually came down to $133. That’s a huge difference. Triple check your receipts. It felt like I was being overcharged and misled more than once. When I politely pointed out the issues, I was told my “behavior was disappointing.” Excuse me?! After three billing mistakes and no apology, now I’m being lectured on how to behave? Maybe get a proper education in hospitality before trying to teach customers how to act. The final straw: You need to urgently replace this staff member with someone well-educated and professional. If you don’t, reviews like this will keep happening and hurt your business. I hadn’t been to this spa for a long time due to surgery — I couldn’t go into steam rooms — but I came back excited. Now I’m simply disappointed. I will never return. A beautiful new Russian Spa has opened nearby next to the Russian church — where you can use oak broom and scrubs, just like a real traditional spa. A much better alternative.
New updates from 09/25/2025
After I left an honest review about this spa, saying that I was disappointed, three days later a woman called me and said she was the new manager of the spa, as the previous one had left immediately. She told me they wanted to correct their mistakes and offered me free passes. I explained that I couldn’t come right away and would visit when it was convenient for me. She assured me that she would leave a note at the front desk, so when I arrived, they would already know that I could enter free of charge, and that the restaurant—where the waitstaff had made mistakes—would also be covered. Yesterday, I went to the spa. Everything was wonderful, and the service had improved. However, at the end of my visit, when I went to the front desk, I was surprised to learn that I was required to pay the full amount. The issue is not that I was unable to pay, but that I was misled. Yesterday was my final visit to this spa. While we were sitting in the relaxation room, we noticed that one of the chairs had a loose leg, so we called over an employee to report it, asking her to notify someone so that no guests would get injured. When the manager came, I pointed out that the chair was broken, and her response was that it would be interesting to find out who had broken it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is America—you should be grateful no one was harmed and apologize for the inconvenience, rather than looking for someone to blame or charge...
Read morei wish i read the bad reviews before coming here. started off problematic. On top of a $455 treatment, they charge you for a day pass too? they just discount it. I've been to world class spas and have never seen a spa charge for a day pass on top of 3 services that i am already paying for. then i had a poor experience with an inexperienced facialist. They didn't seem to know what I booked which was their highest package of $455 for a 80 minute massage, 50 minute facial and 20 minute scalp massage. I was confused when she brought me back unsure of why she wasn't telling me to lay face down because the emails they sent me said the massage was first. nonetheless she gave me a facial and scalp massage and spent half the time trying to sell me on the products she's using. then as i leave she laughs and tells me she messed up and my massage was supposed to be first so now i have to wait 2 hours for my massage. I said ok and i'll go to the jacuzzi and she told me she'll wait for me outside the locker room to take me to the front desk to show me the products when i wanted to wait till i left. When i agreed to buy one of the products the receptionist said "why would u buy it now. you do that before you leave" and the facialist said oh ok well come back later and was practically following me for the rest of the day. I went to use the facilities afterwards where guest were extremely loud and rude. splashing and laughing and talking loudly. No relaxation at this spa. I couldn't escape the noise. I went to the relaxation room and as soon as I felt some peace and quiet, one of the cleaning guys loudly came in and swept and then left the door wide open and didn't close it. I was fed up at this point and just left that room too since i couldn't even relax in the relax room. There were also kids in here? Never heard of a spa that allows anyone under 18. Lastly they do not make it known that the spa is Coed. All facilities except for locker rooms are shared which was uncomfortable. Just very loud and unprofessional environment. Once they call me in for my massage, i lay down extremely uncomfortable because the face hole was about half the size of a normal one. couldn't see and was visibly uncomfortable. i asked if it expands and they said no. never had an issue like this before. When I checked out they told me gratuity was already added on unbeknownst to me as I already tipped the masseuse and facialist. The total was also $200 more than expected. These people are thieves. the only good thing was the branzino at the restaurant. such a waste...
Read moreI called and made an appointment and booked the mud wrap. I specifically stated I do not want the day pass this time as I am only interested in the hammam. The representative agreed. When I arrived, Alejandro the spa attendant said “sit in the steam room before your treatment.” I said “are you sure it’s included I thought we would need to pay extra for the day pass?” He said “no it’s included”. When I checked out, the bill was $572, they charged $200 for the day pass. The lady and one other gentleman at the front argued with me and finally agreed to remove the day pass. My confirmation email says “come to the spa 60 minutes before to enjoy the facilities with your treatment”. It does not say anything about a day pass. I called and asked the manager again and she refuses to refund me for the charge. She told me she would contact me after she investigates but never contacted me. I called the office again and the lady with the heavy accent wouldn’t transfer me to the manager and hung up on me. I called back and she said “yes?” And I said “i’d like to speak to the manager” and was told I’d receive a call back. The spa director called me back very threatening and lacked customer service. I visit spas often and do not mind paying for any treatments received and I provide a generous gratuity. However, it was not appropriately communicated to me about the day pass and feels like a scam. Don’t go here - they will scam you into paying for a day pass. I’ve attached my confirmation that doesn’t say anything about a day pass charge under booked service.
*Update to my review after the response I received. The representative that responded to my review said I called them names which is completely fabricated. The only thing I said was when asked who I spoke with, I said the woman with the heavy accent and large lips. In their response they state they tried to come to a resolution with me, which is also false. I had to call 3 times. I was first told by the front desk I wouldn’t be charged, which was a lie because I was still charged. Second time I called I was told I’d receive a call back, never did. Third time I was hung up on. I then received a call from the spa director who was completely unprofessional and rude. Is that the way you resolve issues? The review response shows the lack of professionalism at this establishment. I foresee this place going out of business if they cannot treat their customers well and by charging...
