One of My Favorite Places To Eat in Cherry Grove - North Myrtle Beach, SC #foodtiktok #food #foodie #restaurant #homecooking

May 3rd, 2025. Stopped by to try out the hot bar. Specifically the Chicken Bog and Fried Chicken. Was NOT impressed. The chicken breast was overcooked and the coating was all flaked off. The Bog that I received was all rice - no chicken and 1 slice of kielbasa. Also very bland. From the other reviews I don’t know if I just had bad luck or if other reviewers have lower standards but I will absolutely never eat here again. As for the rest of the store : Large grocery, produce, eclectic beach stuff store in Surfside. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection and quality of the bakery, produce. If you are looking for a one stop shop to get items for a beach vacation they have it all. The produce was top notch & fresh. Large grocery section of everything from tinfoil to wines. Large selection of beach gear. Boards, kites bamboo mats etc. Upstairs has all kinds of beachy memorabilia. All in all a nice store - just stay away from the hot food section. 😢

If you are staying in north Myrtle Beach specifically cherry grove then boulineau's super market IGA is your everything stop. They have everything from A to Z at this one stop shop. The friendly staff, the best food and all the supplies you forgot when you set off on your vacation. We had a group of 12 adults that rented a condo for 10 days and Boulineau's was our one stop shop. You can get breakfast lunch and dinner while sitting in the dine in section while the rest of your group shops. Well all of you can done in. Today we are staying more in the south strand which is about 20 miles away but it's worth the drive to stop in at Boulineau's. Did I mention that they have thought of everything you'd need or want in one store. Pay a visit you have nothing to lose and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit.

Overall Impression Boulineau’s IGA is so much more than a neighborhood grocery store. It's an all-in-one coastal marketplace that seems to anticipate everything you might need for a perfect day at the beach (and for the backyard grill later on).

What I Went In For I stopped by with one simple mission: replace my propane tank so I could fire up the grill that evening. The process was quick, the staff handled the swap efficiently, and I was back inside the store in minutes to check out the rest of the aisles.

…And What I Discovered While wandering, I spotted a screw-in beach-umbrella holder, exactly what I’d been meaning to pick up but kept forgetting. That spontaneous find perfectly captures Boulineau’s charm: you walk in for groceries or grilling supplies and walk out with clever beach gear you didn’t even realize you needed.

Beyond Groceries Gift shop & souvenirs: Shelves of coastal décor, local goodies, and unique gifts make it a fun browsing spot even if you’re not grocery shopping. Clothing & beach essentials: From flip-flops to rash guards, they’ve got you covered for spur-of-the-moment seaside plans. Full beer & wine selection: Whether you’re pairing a crisp local IPA with your grilled dinner or grabbing a chilled rosé for sunset, the variety rivals many specialty bottle shops.

Staff & Atmosphere Everyone I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to offer suggestions—whether it was the best brand of charcoal or how to secure that umbrella holder in softer sand. The store itself is bright, well-organized, and gives off a laid-back, beach-town vibe that makes shopping feel leisurely rather than chore-like.

Verdict If you’re in the area, Boulineau’s IGA should be your go-to stop for groceries, grill supplies, beach gear, gifts, and a surprisingly robust beer-and-wine selection—all under one roof. Chances are you’ll leave with more than you planned, but everything you...

The grocery store part of it and the gift shop upstairs is over all okay things are a little overpriced there but they do have good produce. But now on to the reason why I'm only giving it one star we went to the soup and salad bar tonight and it was absolutely horrible. I noticed that there are a bunch of good reviews on the salad bar but they are for lunch... We didn't get there till dinner at 530 545 and The salad bar was unkept everything was mixed in together most of the dessert stuff was empty and the hot bar and The soup bar were completely empty. I told the cashier when we first arrived and I went up to get soup I asked her when they were going to put soup out and she said they should be getting it and then she never left the cash register to go tell anybody and they never filled it the whole time we were there and we were there for over an hour. I expected more out of this name and the store but I have to say it was hideous and I won't be going back. It was actually so bad I was kind of worried about getting food poisoning, that's how bad it was. The girl that finally came out to take care of the bar after I demanded to talk to the manager stated that she got stuck on the back line and couldn't get out there to do the salad bar it's like I told her if that's the case they need to hire more people somebody should be dedicated to only doing the salad bar not trying to do two or three...

Huge place with a large variety of different items, not just food. The grocery section looked very good, which is why I gave it three stars, however, we decided to have lunch with their specials, one meat, two or three sides, bread and drink. Our problems started with the lady who was serving us. We hadn’t been there before so needed information, just what some of the dishes were. She was beyond grumpy! I could tell the meatloaf but didn’t know what some of the others were. She looked at me like I had two heads and she shouldn’t have to deal with me. She wouldn’t tell me for a couple of minutes, just looked at me like I’d crawled out from underneath a rock. Eventually, she told me the one was baked spaghetti, never heard of it, still had to ask what the other was, finally, she said fish so I said I’d have that with greens, again, she snarkily said which? She pointed at collard greens and green beans , never heard beans referred to as greens! My husband’s experience wasn’t much better. His meatloaf was very good, however, the mac and cheese was very dry. My greens and stewed okra were fine but the fish was really dried out. I had one bite of one piece and two of the other, just inedible. Cornbread was dry. So disappointed as a lot of reviews were very positive. No one...
