Fat Harold's Beach Club — Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

Would be 0, upon checking in we were tiled they do not hold ocean seats, they are first come first serve. We could sit at the bar and check back in 15 minutes - fair enough. We had a seat at the bar, ordered two drinks which were served expediticiosly, and waited our 15 minutes. After the 15 minute wait I checked with the hostess again for table availablity and she told me they had checked with me regarding a table and I declined. Didn’t happen!!! As it turns out, the offer for the table was made to the couple next to us and they declined the table. Mistake and mistakes happen…. All was good until “ Bubba” behind the bar decided to get involved - his attire regarding the situation was poor and not required, but he decided to get involved anyway. Long story short, paid the bar tab and left. No idea how the food is, but the customer service is a POS and even in these COVID times this was unacceptable. Admit your mistake and I would have dined at your location, however the attitude of the bartender is unacceptable and needs to be addressed for...

Well, I can't believe I have owned a home in North Myrtle beach for 7 years and I'm just now going in to Fat Heralds. Not impressed! We decided to go in around 10:00 pm on Friday Nite and check it out. We usually just go to the OD arcade and listen to live music for free. But last night we decided to go to Fat Heralds had to pay $20.00 cover charge for my wife and I for what I'm not sure. There was probably less than 20 people in there and maybe 1 or 2 couples dancing. After we paid, we noticed that they stop taking money at the door shortly afterwards. Not trying to be mean or disrespectful but just not happy with the establishment. Always heard such enthusiasm on this spot but I was not impressed. Thanks...

Was extremely disappointed after taking my girlfriend on our first vacation to myrtle beach and went to pirates cove where the drinks are served in Dixie cups. I was ready to write myrtle beach off as a disaster before we walked into Fat Harold's. The bartender was awesome. He was extremely nice and personable, even though it was a little slow because it was a thuraday. And served real drinks! A real top notch guy. Didn't catch his name but he had a big beard.
