Wings are wings are wings....like coffee they are now a commodity in the USA. Evidence is that this is a franchise selling itself on some personality out of TEXAS, not really the chicken quality. So, this location needs to focus on service and food quality even more. This review is not about the workers, but about the system this organization has in place and the horrible experience I had. So, WingStop is NOT a Restaurant as categorized by Google..(more on that later). First time to try this place because location seemed convenient. I arrived as a walk-in and there were 2 customers in front of me, one of which was quickly served and leaving. I left 1 hour and 15 minutes later with my order of 10 traditional wings and a carton of very soggy french fries. There were no less than 8 employees working and trying to get orders filled. As the crowd of customers arriving grew, the order taker was pleasant and attended to the customers as the wait time s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d for everyone (she is actually a star here and the reason I gave 1 star). The dining space has only 2 small tables and the waiting space is very limited in front of the counter...get the idea, this is not a restaurant but more of a Chinese-cum-Texas Wing take out but without the security bars. The couple in front of me had a larger order and they received their order 10 minutes before me. At one point the Manager came out and shouted orders to get the drinks for everyone waiting, turned around and quickly disappeared into another back room?! I found it strange that the Manager didn't include food orders in that shout out. So this is not a restaurant! This is a take away land based food truck. Eventually I figured out the food fulfillment priority.....Online orders and those Dashers that sneak-in, grab and go. ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD PRIORITY FOR WALK-INS. Eventually I made it home and was not impressed with the quality of the chicken for the price. Flavors are ok, but a franchise like this has to work more on the quality of chicken and the cooking oil used. Chicken wings were dry and the meat was OK, compared to chicken wings i've had around town. So, here are some bonus points the franchise gets: 1) They use compostable food boxes, paper bags and other environmentally sustainable measures; 2) The kitchen is an open view for everyone, which reduces the anxiety of wait time. Employees were always busy and tending to orders.....just not mine and definitely not any other walk-ins. Note: I decided not to go and come back....at one point a different kitchen employee came to the counter and said that Bone-In chicken orders had another 15 minute wait...which turned out to be another 45 minutes. I have no idea why the bone-in order had to wait longer. I came in for chicken wings, not chicken tenders which I can get at all the other land based food trucks in Great Northern. I am not commenting on the 8% in-restaurant food tax at this location...I'm sure it makes it easier...
Read moreTHE WORST!!! I called in to place an order for 10 chicken wings. I was told on the phone that I needed to place my order online because they were too busy to do it over the phone, or I could wait on hold for 10 min or so if i really wanted. 1st thing that was unacceptable because some people don't like to order online. So i ordered online to avoid being placed on hold for who knows how long, was given a pickup time of 16-21 minutes from when my order was placed. I arrived to pick up my order 25 minutes later because I already know they tend to be slower. I gave my name at the counter and told them I ordered online. They said my order was not ready and to have a seat. 20 minutes I sat there listened to them talk bad about customers that had left, watched them make a couple orders, WITHOUT gloves while the one man kept rubbing his nose with his hand and return to saucing and plating wings. 🤢 All food should be handled with gloves on in the restaurant industry. After waiting 20 minutes I got up and asked again where my order was and I noticed my name on the only bag that had been sitting on the shelf THE WHOLE TIME. I did not see my name on it when I first arrived or this would have all been avoided but that's not my responsibility to check the orders behind the counter when picking up. It's theirs. I told the woman that my order had been sitting on the shelf the whole time and they missed it when I got there and gave my name. She said oh, this one ? Yes, ma'am, the only one sitting there this whole time. She handed it to me and turned around to get back to her conversation. No apology. Not even have a good night. The workers here are incompetent, unsanitary and...
Read moreI'm not one to write a bad review but here we are. I went with my sister saturday January 4th 2025 at 7:10pm. We walked in and it was super smoky. There were 3 guys in the kitchen with no gloves and a manager sitting down cashing out tickets. I placed my order with her and she seemed irritated that I was placing an order and not picking up one placed online. I ordered the boneless meal deal with 5 of each: Louisiana rub, hickory smoked bbq, lemon pepper, and Hawaiian and 2 small fountain drinks. She told me my total and walked away but I was paying cash so I waited for her to come back a few minutes later and asked if they took cash. She seemed incredibly inconvenienced even though it was 5 hours before closing time and kept mumbling about how me paying in cash was ruining her register. After a few minutes of hassling with that she gives me my change and cups for drinks and dissappear again. I got my drinks and waited for probably 30 minutes and she still did not return, which caused a customer to have to wait 10 minutes before one of the kitchen guys helped her. The food was alright but instead of the Hawaiian wings they gave us buffalo. If I had to eat somewhere on Lorain I'd just cross the street or go to the...
