this store needs to provide training to employees on code of ethics.. I was totally humiliated today on top of being called a thief. I entered the store with my pop & chips.. there were at least 4 people in front of me..when it was my turn, the man employee looked at me and asked what I wanted.. gave him my order.. he suggested I sit and he’ll call me to the register when my sandwich was ready. When I went to the register to pay, the same employee that ask me for my order was the same guy ringing me out. My order came to like 22.00 dollars and I asked why.. he had rung me up for pop and chips. I explained to him that I brought this in with me. He said I didn’t see that.. I told him I didn’t walk to your freezer and get anything to drink… I told him I paid for those items at the gas station. He said can you go get the receipt.. i asked was he SERIOUS.. he said yes..I was appalled. I told him I didn’t want the sandwich but I m’m going to make you look ignorant.. went and got the receipt and the other pop and chips I bought. The girl who made my sandwich tried to help but the damage was already done . The male employee tried to explain to her his reasoning.. the couple in front of me had sat down to eat.. the guy even yelled out, she brought those items in here with her.. the lady employee proceeded to say we don’t need your input.. she said we don’t need the situation escalated…waittt, he was just confirming that I brought those items in. She told the couple they had to leave or she’s going to call the cops… I told her she was wrong.. and your actions now is heightening the situation. I’ll NEVER...
Read moreYesterday was my first Jersey Mike's experience, and it will probably be the last at this location at least. I don't know if it was a bad day, or the business is usually run this poorly.
When I entered, three people were working behind the counter. There was one other customer in the store besides me. None of the three employees said hi or "we will be with you shortly." No one acknowledged me for at least 4-5 minutes. My other issue is that the staff appears to prioritize online orders over in person orders. During the 4-5 minutes of being ignored, all three staff were working on online orders.
The staff is good about wearing gloves when preparing food. I wish they would wash their hands more often though. One of the employees was scratching himself in the food prep area with ungloved hands. He then put on gloves and began preparing a customer's sandwich, without washing his hands. That grossed me out and made me glad he didn't touch my sandwich.
After they rang up my order, their system crashed and they weren't able to process payment or receive online orders. The staff was apologetic to customers, and offered free chips and drinks to people inconvenienced. I thought that was considerate.
The store was very cluttered. There were cases of unpacked beverages on the floor. A bunch of tables in the customer eating area were occupied with papers and store uniforms. The TV in the store was tuned to what appears to be a violent video game.
In terms of my food. I had the cheese steak sandwich. It was good, but I think $14 for what looks to be a footlong...

During this visit, I encountered unprofessional behavior from a staff member. When I was placing my order, a young gentleman with a tattoo on his arm displayed a dismissive attitude, repeatedly asking "What do I want?" in a manner I found discourteous. Furthermore, while my sandwich was being prepared, I requested extra mayonnaise from the employee with curly hair. This request was met with visible irritation, and the employee proceeded to make mocking faces at me, which I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Finally, at the point of payment, I observed the cashier using a knife that appeared unsanitary, as it had visible dirt on it. This raised significant concerns about the hygiene practices at your store. Due to these issues, I was so dissatisfied with my experience that I did not feel comfortable eating the sandwich I had purchased. I ultimately paid for the order and discarded it. This level of service and the apparent lack of attention to hygiene are unacceptable and do not align with the standards I would expect from a reputable establishment like Jersey Mike's. I request that you investigate these matters and take appropriate action to address the unprofessional conduct of your staff and the unsanitary conditions I witnessed.
