SO DISSAPOINTED! Didn't have brownies, cookies, waffle bowls, or any undipped waffle cones... they make in house...not supply chain or stock issues, but rather it was that they didn't make enough in the am and were not planning on making more, I guess? It wasn't really late, maybe 3 pm, so it wasn't like almost close or anything... They also didn't have at least 1/3 of the flavors as you could visually see when ordering... very odd.
My son who is 6 ordered and when asked what kind of cup or cone and flavor I was attending to my other son and didn't hear him ask for the fanciest biggest waffle cone possible, ok no biggie, but then I said to him clearly and loudly enough for the gentleman to hear you were supposed to have a cup and I get he already grabbed the cone it would be weird to put it back with the others at that point and I'm anti waste so I wasn't going to make a fuss but then he proceeded to ask him directly, which I appreciate but purchase needs to be verified with a parent when it's a 6 year old, even eye contact and a nod, anything!!!. He said 3 scoops of cookies and creme and I said no you're getting one scoop, but the cone is fine. I didn't directly address the server, but he most definitely heard me. There was absolutely no way he did not, but according to him .he "didn't hear me" when i asked why when he continued to scoop for a second scoop to put in. I told him when he was forming the second scoop in that no, it was only 1 scoop, and he continued to put it in the cone and told me "oh he said 3 scoops I was making 3," etc I didn't even know what to say further at that point as I had corrected him but he somehow felt it was ok to correct me back by repeating my sons order back to me when he easily could have left it as is? Anyways, we pay and the ridiculous candy-coated sprinkle-covered waffle cone that had only 2 scoops at this point... was somehow charged as 3. Because of course it was. To add insult to injury when my son didn't finish we asked for to go cup and the lid the man provided didn't fit so I asked for one that did fit and he proceeded to tell the woman working with him to go get the right size, while he went directly back to playing on his iPad while sitting by the register... unfortunately, between the two of them, it seemed he was the manager, I didn't ask, but it doesn't matter because I will absolutely...
Read moreLights! Caramel! Action!: Introduced by Ben & Jerry’s (BJ’s) near the end of 2022, this flavor's clever name is a reference to one of my favorite pastimes, movies. The packaging depicts filmmaker and screenwriter Ava DuVernay, although I'm a film buff, I honestly had no idea who she was. After some investigating, my ignorance (with no disrespect) of Ava and her work was due to the fact that her genre isn't intriguing for me (I'm more of an epic blockbuster guy). Anyways, BJ’s official description is vanilla ice cream with salted caramel swirls, graham cracker swirls & gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough. Let me lead off by saying I enjoyed this flavor. That said, I found the salt in the "salted" caramel and graham cracker flavor to be as obscure as Ava DuVernay's works. Those short comings are made up for by the abundance of superb cookie dough gobs and sweet caramel flavor. In a nutshell, this flavor is a caramel cookie dough ice cream. It's not "Star Wars", "Indiana Jones", or "Jurassic Park", but by no means "Gigli", "Jack and Jill", or "Cats". Sticking with the movie analogies, Lights! Caramel! Action! is something I would see (buy) during a matinee (on sale) as it's not BJ's best film....I mean flavor, but still Doughboy approved 😋 Doughboy_Food_Reviews My B&J’s Favorites: Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake Americone Dream Gimme S’more Dublin Mudslide PB S’more The...
Read moreDelicious ice cream. Very clean shop with outdoor seating available. Would recommend especially on hot days. All the B&J flavors are amazing. They offer different types of cones or cups. There can be long lines as the staff consisted of only one person when I visited. They were efficient but not so friendly which is ok. I think they need to have a second person working there. This ice cream shop is right next to the cinemas and there are plenty of restaurants around and shops as well. The one thing that I don't like is that ice cream cones are overpriced. as of June 2025 the price for 2 small icecream cones was 17USD 🤯
8.25 for a small sugar cone is mind blowing and it could be 9usd if you ask for the...
