The sandwiches were amazing and definitely worth the 5 stars. I have to subtract a star for the lady taking our order. To be fair, it was lunch time, so I will preface my review with that. However, given Covid no one was allowed inside to order, understandable. Instead there was a table placed in front of the door so you could at least see the menu. Upon arriving our small group went to the door to see the menu. The lady taking orders told us we would need to step around to the front porch area and review the menu there. There was a single menu for the line of patrons to review. The lady became very impatient when we didn't immediately know what we wanted and began cutting us off as we tried to order. The only reason I didn't say forget it and leave was because the gentleman behind us said we couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. Once our order was placed she had us pick up our food at the door where a more complete menu was posted on the table. My recommendation would be to post a complete menu where you're wanting customers to order. Possibly even a large poster board to provide for better social distancing.

I'll give it another try considering the food was good, but good food and poor service won't always bring...

$36 for a sandwich that hardly has anything in it. $12.50 for an 8inch…$25 for a 16inch. Got the 16inch. There are some toppings that are included like cheese: provolone, cheddar, Swiss, and pepper jack. Veggie toppings: lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, onions and sprouts. Condiments: Mayo, mustard, papaya dressing, ranch, thousand island and honey mustard. There’s other toppings that you can add for additional prices. We got the Ali’i…which has pepperoni, salami and pastrami. Half of the sandwich had pepper jack cheese, onions, mayo, mustard and papaya dressing on the side. The other half had pepper jack cheese, provolone, cheddar, onions, bell pepper, mayo, mustard and papaya dressing on the side. We got our sandwiches. Meats and cheese paper thin. Onions and bell peppers hardly any inside. No mustard in our sandwiches and we were charged $9 - $10 more…for what??? We didn’t add any additional toppings that they charge for. We stuck to the toppings that comes with the sandwiches. Over priced….Over charged…and so *OVERRATED!!! #NEVER AGAIN!!!

Would’ve given O stars if that...

I don’t know if it was just the particular sandwich we got (turkey with all the veggies), but it was one of the blandest sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Everything on it tasted the same and it was in desperate need of something briney, like pickles or banana peppers or a hot relish—something to differentiate bread from meat from cheese. We should have taken them up on the papaya dressing they offered which sounded odd at the time. The size of the sandwich was huge and fed two adults. This is an order at the counter and sit outside place. It’s very 70’s on the inside without trying to be retro. I get the feeling it’s just looked the same way since it opened and I found the atmosphere to be really cool. Staff were...

In the mood for a great deli sandwich and was not disappointed. Loved the friendly and light atmosphere the women provided while I was there. They were very attentive and obviously knew what they were doing. I ended up getting the “Waimea” sandwich which was ham, turkey, and salami with some general fixings and it was delicious! I ended up eating it in not time flat while my wife went to get some shaved ice nearby and didn’t feel weighed down afterwards. Overall a small shop just off of the main road down Haleiwa and a great healthy and filling option that has a solid price with it. I would definitely go there again to try additional sandwiches.

Storto’s Deli is a sandwich shop in Haleiwa. Decorative walls with lots of surfing posters and friendly workers. The portion sizes are decent and they are cash-only. I can’t speak much about the taste as I got the vegetarian sandwich (avocado, alfalfa sprouts, bell pepper, onion, and a few other vegetables) and it tasted average for a sandwich, it wouldn’t be fair to judge the shop based on that. If you don’t eat pork or if you’re a pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan, I would not recommend this place. Otherwise, it may be the best sandwich you’ve had in Hawaii.

You want the best sandwiches in Hawaii? Stortos is the place! Such a friendly staff. I have difficult times when my mind does not process what is being said to me but I did say something to her to which she replied the correct order I was thinking of. She corrected in a very kind way. I have always loved Stortos sandwiches. The best sandwiches on the island. If you ever want to go get a subway sandwich cancel your plans immediately and go to Haleiwa to pick up some Stortos!
