Ruscello at Nordstrom — Restaurant in Oak Brook

Great little restaurant right in Nordstrom. The Lobster Bisque soup is a must try. We "try" it every time we go here. I also recommend the heirloom tomatoes and burrata, though yesterday they gave us cherry tomatoes (unless they grow heirloom cherry tomatoes now that look just like regular cherry tomatoes), but the vinaigrette and the fresh pesto was mouthwatering good as was the grilled bread. I tried the ginger shrimp salad this time and it did not disappoint. They grilled the shrimp perfectly! They unfortunately did not have the strawberry goat cheese salad that is also popular with us. We did not get a desert this time nor any alcohol so the total bill plus tip was just under $100. Service was friendly and because we went on a Monday, we were able to get a booth by the window. Overall great little hidden place. And did I mention the Lobster Bisque? No pictures of the soup unfortunately because I wolfed it...

Went here with the hubby for the first time yesterday and overall had an ok experience. The food was absolutely amazing, my husband had the spicy shrimp pasta and I choose the green goddess salad with shrimp and both were delicious so props to the chef! The reason it's not five stars is because the staff were not the most attentive. We found ourselves waiting almost 15 minutes for service after being seated with not so much as a glass of water offered. Each time we interacted with our server it seem to take a decent time for him to check back in (it's the holiday season I get it, but there really wasn't that many people there as it wasn't traditional lunch or dinner time) I also would have bought a cocktail if they weren't $17 upwards a piece! Thank you Luis! I had a fabulous experience at your restaurant. The staff was so welcoming and pleasant towards me and my family. We were seated quickly, (a plus that they are open to suggestive tables of preference ;D) and served with kindness. The menu was detailed and expansive considering they’re located in Nordstrom! Full service bar. FANTASTIC dessert menu. A variety of healthy AND delicious entrees to compliment it all. I LOVE the Turkey club and Chicken/Maple Bacon handheld. Sounds simple, but something about all the fresh ingredients and their peppercorn aioli is mind blowing between two buns. I can’t recreate this at home.
