This was my first-time getting cookies from this place. I bought a "6-pack specialty", which is a combination of all the large cookies available of that day. While the cookies were Ok in terms of their taste, they were not great, at least not as amazing as I have heard people talk about them. I mean, they were fine, but nothing out of this world. Despite the apparent variety of the selection, four out of the six pieces, seemed to have been made of the exact same dough, which tasted a little too sweet for my taste. The only thing that made them "different" from one another was the frosting. The fifth one was more chocolaty and the last one was made out of something different (that one didn't taste too good). The frosting on most of them was creative, and not as sweet; it was quite tasty, I must say. The only real bad note was that the lady who "assisted" me (a Caucasian young woman of robust corpulence) was not customer service oriented at all. It's not that one expects excellent customer service when going for cookies as it is probably not part of their job description, but still, a little bit of kindness would be nice. Despite the store having only me and one other customer who was being assisted before me (by another staff member), this lady seemed to be angry already, not quite up to rude, but close. After having placed my order, as I was still interacting with the screen to make my payment and choose my receipt, I wasn't finished and, in a somewhat violent move, she reached around the screen, tapped it before I was done and told me to go wait for my order to the waiting area. I felt scolded and had to ask if there was a way to get my receipt, as I was precisely at that step of the process when she abruptly cut me out. I know we all have bad days and I tried to be empathetic as I know her job is not easy (and clearly, one she does not enjoy), so I decided to give her a tip at the end. Anyhow, if you want a treat that is excessively sweet, and you don't mind a little unfriendliness, this is your place. I, for one, was disappointed and won't be a returning customer. You can find as good as these cookies (and plenty of other bakery items) only a few feet away from there, in the bakery section of the Meijer store across from this place, which are not as expensive and with a better...
Read moreThey have 6 different cookies to choose from. 4 flavors change weekly and 2 (milk chocolate chip & chilled sugar) are available every week. The flavors are available Monday - Saturday. They announce the new flavors on Sunday evenings. Cookies are served warm except for the Chilled Sugar.
The cookies available this week (5/17 - 5/22) are: Churro Berry Crunch Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip German Chocolate Cake Milk Chocolate Chip Chilled Sugar
The Churro comes frosted and it did taste just like a warm churro but more like a piece of cake and not a real churro dessert. I felt the cookie shouldn’t of been so thick and should’ve had more of a crunch to it. Especially with the added frosting. It was good, but VERY sweet! I rate it 7/10. The Berry Crunch is a play off of Cap’n Crunch Berries cereal. The cookie base is made with cornmeal and comes frosted with a sprinkle of Cap’n Crunch Berries. The cookie base tasted like how the original Cap’n Crunch cereal pieces taste. (you know, those ones that cut the roof of your mouth!) The outside had a nice crunch to it. Inside was dense but softer. The frosting acted as the milk and the cereal pieces gave a nice crunch, as well. This cookie was very good! I rate it 9/10 PBCH. Loved this one. The peanut butter is the main star and the chocolate chips are just the right amount. I would get this one again! I rate it 9/10 The German Chocolate Cake felt like I was biting into a real slice of German chocolate cake! This is a big, thick cookie! The coconut pecan frosting was piled high. The base was nice and chocolaty. I couldn’t stop taking bites! Excellent cookie! I rate it 10/10 Milk Chocolate Chip. It was good but maybe should’ve been made with a semi-sweet chip or a mix of the 2. The cookie itself was very sweet and the milk chips make it even sweeter. Walnuts would have been a nice add-in, too for added crunch and depth. I rate it 8/10 Chilled Sugar. Nothing special. Your typical sugar cookie with frosting. I rate it 6/10
Overall, this is a great concept. We will definitely watch for new flavors and will be...
Read moreCrumbl Cookies Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie: Crumbl rotates their flavors on a weekly basis but depending on the flavor some are absolutely amazing. Crumbl's official description for this one is "A chilled buttery graham cookie layered with pumpkin cheesecake frosting and graham cracker streusel topping." I love anything pumpkin this time of year and my location didn't have this one last fall, so I've been watching in anticipation for it for quite some time. The cookie is dense, satisfyingly chewy, and cool (it’s served chilled). There’s a hint of graham cracker flavor to the cookie, but the real star of the show is the pumpkin cream cheese frosting. Crumbl acolytes know the power of that phenomenal cream cheese frosting (sweet and perfectly tangy) and this time there’s an additional pumpkin favor blended in. The aroma instantly conjures thoughts of pumpkin pie. If I have one complaint about the cookie it’s this, mine did not have enough streusel topping. Crumbl’s stock photo shows a teeming circle of streusel in the center of the cookie like an island in an ocean of pumpkin cream cheese frosting. If you look at mine there is only a scant amount. In retrospect, I should have said something while I was in the store, but I was in a hurry and thought maybe I was being too picky. The more pics I see of other people's cookies though, the more I feel short changed. At $5 a cookie, you need to do better with quality control Crumbl. I would expect this from somewhere like McDonald's or BK, but for a shop where appearance is a major selling point, this is disappointing. Doughboy approved 😋, but only because of the phenomenal pumpkin cream cheese frosting (just okay 😐 service) Doughboy_Food_Reviews My Top Crumbl Cookies: Caramel Popcorn Salted Caramel Cheesecake Pumpkin Cheesecake Cake Batter/Birthday Cake Mallow...
