Bob's Dogs — Restaurant in Oak Island

Edit; FYI for anyone who finds Bob's listed on DoorDash they are not affiliated with them at all. I found this out the hard way. After speaking with the owner I was understanding in his situation. I assured him we would place a to go order this week. Today I placed that order. When I arrived to pick up my order 2 items were incorrect, I knew they would be because I had to repeat to the young man on the phone 3 times not to add an ingredient to two hotdogs. When the young lady at the register informed the kitchen staff, a male voice rudely informed her that's not what the order says. Excuse me! After they remade the food I left with a heavy heart knowing I won't be returning any time soon. The staff that is there now will definitely be the ruin of a great summer spot for us. See my 5 star review below, that should be enough to tell you how much this place has gone down. Such a shame, even after I had high hopes from speaking with the owner himself .

We visited Bobs Dogs today and they had no safety protocols in place to protect from Corona Virus. I mean no protocols in place. They were not wearing face mask, not sanitizing tables, touching customers hand handing off food then immediately handling the next customers food. When we complained employees were rude. I demanded to speak to manager and he was not in so we waited for him to arrive. The reason the employees have such a lack of concern is because of their manager. He too was rude and mad at us because we complained. The supervisor is advising his employees they can wear mask around their ear not covering their faces. Mask and wiping down tables is easiest thing they can do so you an imagine everything else they are not doing. This lack of concern for others heath is very disheartening and establishments that are not taking our current situation seriously do not deserve to operate. This has always been my favorite place to eat at Oak Island. Today, though, my husband ran in and got us food to go. Out of 5 hot dogs, the only one that was correct was the footlong. We asked for turkey dogs for three, and none of those were correct. The one that was not supposed to be a turkey dog was the only one that was turkey. I don’t recommend taking the food to go because it was a mess in the bag and the pimento cheese dogs (my favorite) were upside down at the bottom of the bag. My husband went back in to let them know our order had been wrong, and the manager (?) said it was written down correct and didn’t care. Not sure if we’ll be back, but if we do return, we’ll dine in so that we can deal with issues...
