Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Oakdale

I am never coming back here again. Me and my family went through the drive thru, the barista we were talking to did not sound happy to hear us. She wouldn’t respond to our order and sounded angry when we asked for the total price twice, which she said was $21 (keep that in mind). We pulled up to pay and I gave her $6 in cash and a card with $20 on it, more than enough right? She charged the card and didn’t put in the cash, so obviously it declined. She then told me that it was actually $31 dollars and not $21??? I was confused but i decided to trust her, so I asked my cousin to send $10 to my card. I then payed the whole amount with my card, but the barista canceled the transaction without telling me?? She said it was because she forgot to put in the cash and that the amount was now $25. I was really confused now, but this was what I wanted in first place, so, assuming the money had went back to my account, I tried to pay with my card again. But it declined. I checked my account and i didn’t have any money. By this point i'm frustrated and embarrassed, I didn’t know what to do. I told the barista that the money hadn’t gone back to me account and she told me it would take a few days and that there was nothing she could do. So to recap, I had payed for the drinks IN FULL, but she canceled the transaction WITHOUT ASKING ME, and now I had no drinks AND no money. In my frustration, I just said thanks and drove off, and my cousin reminded me that I hadn’t gotten my cash back. I pulled back around to the window, wondering why the barista hadn’t reminded me before I drove off. When she saw me at the window she seemed to hesitate before walking towards me, and when I asked for the cash, she reached into THE TIP JAR. I wanted to scream, was that why she hadn’t put in the cash initially? Or why she hadn’t reminded me after everything? I can confidently say this was one of the worse experiences at a caribou that I have ever had. If I could give them 0...

I took a break from coming to this location because of how they would incorrectly make my drink every time. Whenever i would get an iced mocha, all of the chocolate would be sitting at the bottom of the cup not stirred, and because the drink was cold, no amount of me stirring would make it mix into the drink. (Youre supposed to mix the syrup with the shot before adding milk/ice, which they dont do). So essentially the drink would just taste like milk. I took a break, decided to go back because this location is close to work, started getting an iced vanilla latte, thinking that would be hard to mess up, its a basic menu item, thinner syrup. Every time i order it looks like its straight milk, doesnt taste like coffee and is watered down... i really dont understand what the issue is. I order these drinks all the time at other locations and they are never like this, so i know what they should look/taste like. In general the baristas are nice, but i feel like maybe they arent going by the book when making the drinks/cutting corners. Considering how much people pay for drinks, they should be consistent and amount to that price. Sadly i'll have to...

Really great mint mocha! The best I can remember. The staff were pretty to themselves, making the atmosphere a little clique like, or like one is in a dive bar. The manager was super sweet. I stood, somewhat awkwardly in front of around 4 or 5 staff members for around 5 minutes listening to them talk to each other before they realized I was there and acknowledged my existence haha. They kind of scattered, heads went down and things got real quiet after that. Seems like it was one of those days where youre hoping there will be no business, or youre fingers are crossed for an easy day. I was the only one in the coffee shop, there were a couple of people in the drive through and it took around half an hour to get my drink. So I would say two stars for the great tasting coffee, one extra star for managers friendliness and the cozey looking atmosphere, but minus 1 star for staff indifference, and minus another for the much longer than average wait especially considering I was the only one there, sitting right in...
