Many of the staff at the KFC in Oakdale are incompetent and careless. Your order is practically guaranteed to be missing items and any “customer service” is taken as a complete joke.
After a family member of mine placed a drive-thru order, she was eventually given a bag with our food. As she glanced at the open bag to check that its contents weren’t wildly incorrect, the young boy manning the window asked her (after a few moments and without any prompting) if one of the fries she had ordered was missing. Sure enough, being located near the top of the bag, it became obvious the second container of fries had not been included within it. The boy then smirked as he proceeded to hand her a separate bag containing just the missing side, which he had been hiding behind the window. It felt like he was waiting to see if this error would be noticed before offering to include the food we had already paid for. With that strange experience out of the way, my family member drove home. Upon her arrival around 20 minutes later, she discovered the main part of my meal, a mashed potato bowl, was also missing from our order. Understandably disappointed, she decided to call this location and relayed this information. At which time, the young girl who had previously been communicating with her on the phone rudely began pretending she could “no longer hear“ my family member.
I am in my 20s and have worked in the customer service industry for years. I could not believe the blatant immaturity and disrespect aimed towards patrons simply hoping for standard service or a verbal apology. If you cannot handle the basic responsibilities and common courtesies associated with your job, you should not be trusted with said job, let alone paid to treat innocent customers so terribly.

The communication was clear and at a volume that made it easy to hear and understand the employee I was speaking with. The signage seemed accurate, clean and well lit. The property seemed cared for and free of trash. My visit was pleasant. I ordered large sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. Which was what I mainly wanted. Last minute I decided to order 2 pcs of dark meat chicken. One for tonight and one for tomorrow. When I opened up the box with the chicken in it, I was shocked to see how tiny the leg and thigh were. I'm not sure I've ever seen such tiny pieces of chicken. Maybe they were tiny because it was nearing the end of the night. They should have put them in a much smaller box as they only filled about a quarter of the one they were in. I could have stopped nearby and purchased a whole rotisserie chicken for less than $1.50 more than I paid for these 2 pieces. I should have thought to take a photo. Could a, would a, should a, it's too late now. I'm not sure when KFC's chickens started being butchered so young and tiny, but it was a lesson learned by me for next time.
