High XII Cafe & Coffee — Restaurant in Oakland

I've had breakfast twice here now before I hop on the bus to get to work. The owner is really nice and friendly. There's wifi (you'll need to ask for the password) and tables to sit at if you need to do a little work before you go. The service is very quick. I ordered for pickup on line and also in person and the food is made very fast and very delicious. I've gotten a breakfast sandwich (The Eye Opener) with turkey sausage on a croissant, as well as a breakfast burrito with chorizo and tater tots. Both have tasted great, especially the chorizo tater tot burrito. I have also gotten iced coffee from here twice, and they make it well. I love this place. It's a small business with good prices and an amazing staff. They closed for a bit during the pandemic, but they are back open. I miss the amazing salad bar that they had, but it obviously needed to go.

You can now order online and they will let you know when your order is ready. You can just pop in and grab your food.

This place was a two minute walk from the Marriott where I was staying, and I ordered a custom egg, bacon, and cheese croissant.

Staff was friendly, food came out fast, fresh, and delicious. With bottled tea and tip, it came out to $15-- much less than the hotel.
