Quick Bite — Restaurant in Oakland

We went here for lunch during Oakland Restaurant Week 2018. Amazed at how full and how busy it was on a weekday. Parking was really hard, finally found a space four blocks away as the public lot across the street was fullQ!. Service was slow but the food was very good. My friend had the Restaurant Week lunch - a great minestrone-like soup, Gnudis, and a vanilla panna cotta. The soup was wonderful, the gnudis a really new and very tasty experience, and the panna cotta very good. Gnudis are dumplings of ricotta cheese rolled in semolina flour, then browned in butter and fresh sage leaves - wow!!! At first glance, QuickBite may seem like your ordinary, average hole in the wall, but upon exploration, you find that it is so much more than that. It has a welcoming atmosphere, the service is top-notch, the cook is very polite, and you only wait about 15 minutes for your order. The food here is very good. The menu ranges from chicken, to fish, along with fries, or potato salad for the side dishes. QuickBite also has deserts.
